Mountain Hideaway apartment

The property is situated in open woodland of aspen fir and maple, and has stunning views of Mount Timpanogos and the Stewart Falls. The autumn colors are spectacular. The apartment has been designed by International artist Jann Haworth, and features oak floors, stained glass panels, a wood-burning stove and ceramic tiling. It has full electronic office facilities, DirectTV, DVD etc. It is approx 1500 sq ft with large living room, fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom with king-size bed, panelled second bedroom with queen bed, each with bathroom en suite. Moose, elk and deer are regular visitors to the garden and surrounding woodland, cougar and bobcat were sighted this summer, and flying squirrels come to the decks at night. The apartment is totally private and self-contained, but with easy access to all the amenities of the Sundance Resort. There is a delightful hike through an alpine meadow to the 200 foot waterfall and beaver ponds. Many species of wild birds come to the feeders.

There is first class fishing in the Provo river, skiing and snow-boarding at the Sundance Resort, horse riding from nearby stables, mountain biking on over 20 miles of trails served by chair-lift, and of course hiking in the Wilderness area. The resort offers fine dining in the renowned Tree Room Restaurant or the more informal Foundry Grill. Drinks and live music are presented in the Owl Bar, and prize-winning films are regularly shown in the Screening Room (as well as a selection of films from the Film Festival while it is running in January). The resort presents a series of open air concerts and films in the amphitheater during the summer season

Sundance Ski Resort is a medium size friendly resort, excellent for beginners and families but also offering challenging runs for the more advanced skier. Gear is available for rental or purchase and instructors are on hand to give lessons. Snow-boarders are welcome. Utah powder is of course renowned as 'the best snow on earth'. The apartment is adjacent to a ski-run, which is reached by a 2 minute walk, so that the skier or snow-boarder avoids all the hassle of loading a vehicle and driving to the ski area.
