Duluth Vacation Rental house

Our group of 10 arrived at 3:00 PM, knowing that we could only drop off our luggage to allow the cleaning lady to finish her job. She greeted us at the door, was very friendly and polite and informed us that it would be at least 2 more hours before we could move in. She also informed us that she hoped we weren't TV watchers because both of them didn't work. She would have to call the cable company in the morning. We dropped off our things and went on our way. When we returned to the house many hours later, one of our husbands tried to fix the TV in the living room. After spending time checking all the wiring he went down into the basement and wiggled the cable where it entered the house. Hooray! The renters fixed the TV.

Then we tried to connect to the Wireless Internet. That too was not working!! One member of our party needed to conduct some business using the internet and was unable to do so. We left a message with the owner the next morning to let her know that we had fixed the TV's but now the internet was down. Gina did get back to us quickly to let us know that the router was behind a locked door. The cleaning lady came back very late that night to open the door. (It was almost 10:00 PM.) We found the router buried under a blanket which caused it to overheat and apparently malfunction. After we rebooted it, everything worked fine. I have a feeling this may have happened before.

There was supposed to be a futon that could have been used as a bed, but it too was broken and had been put into the garage by the cleaning lady.

After the first two days, things improved and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our stay at the house. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us. The property was clean, but could use a furniture update.

By the way, Perch Lake was green and algae covered ... not a beautiful blue as seen in the picture.

We would probably not stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. The location was great along with the peace and quiet we were seeking on our vacation. We took advantage of the proximity to the river and the walking trail along the river – it is a real plus for your location.

We hope to return for a future visit.

Wonderful place...stayed here for Grandma's Marathon wknd and it was great to come back to a quiet home/area. We did have problems with getting the internet and cable t.v. though. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!
