This newly renovated and beautifully decorated cottage is perfect to relax inside or out, and still enjoy the comforts of home. Aqua Moon Cottage has several decks with chairs for sunbathing or just relaxing. The ambiance is peaceful and serene - just what is needed for your next vacation. We are only a short walk to the beach and harbor. Spacious living with great ocean and mountain views. The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful and the starlit sky is spectacular for all of you stargazers! Just a short walk to the beach, harbor and town. The marina area is full of quaint shops, great restaurants and The Ocean Institute! Great fun for the family. The beach and marina have lifeguards, all watersports rentals, bike rentals, concessions, restrooms, volleyball, aquarium, BBQ grills and picnic area. We are in close proximity to many great attractions, Disneyland -20 mins., Legoland -30 min., Aquarium of the Pacific-30 min., Seaworld and San Diego Zoo -60 minutes and much much more!

We are located in Southern California's Orange County. Dana Point is a very picturesque beach town with bluffs overlooking the great Pacific Ocean. We are located in The Historic Lantern District of Dana Point. The Dana Point Harbor has quaint shops, delicious restaurants, boat charters and any kind of water sports you might wish for.

Nicest Place we've ever stayed...

The House was easy to find. From the minute we walked in the front door, we were amazed at how clean it was. The house had all the "exttra's" many rentals stock their units with junk furniture and build with low quality materials. The Aqua Moon cottage had quality cabinitry and Granite counter tops.
The Master suite had a shower to die for, and was very spacious.
The layout was ideal. I lked the Living room downstairs with no TV. It was a good place to unwind while dinner was cooking on the Grill outside. Then as you go up the stairs their is a very spacious "family room" with lots of seating, TV, gaming etc...most of my family found this to be the place to hang out and unwind. Off the family room in each direction were all the Bedrooms.
The location of this property is ideal. It was close enough to highways and main drags to take you any where you wanted in a matter of minutes.
We had a family of 6. 2 adults and 4 teenagers...we could easily have slept another 6 if we needed to...but it was nice to have enough room to spread out.
Not only would I reccomend this rental to others...I plan on staying here again during my next trip to the West.

Nice house, good value

My wife and I were here for the last two weeks in December and would be happy to recommend it; if we return to this area, we'd seriously consider staying there again. It's pretty much as advertised, and we found the owners to be helpful and responsive (for instance, when there was a problem with the garage door opener).

It's clean and nicely decorated and has some nice views of the adjoining canyon. We found a few things to be slightly inconvenient -- the stairways are narrow, the driveway is just barely as long as my Toyota, and except for the master bedroom, the sleeping accommodations are not very comfortable -- but none of these is a big deal.

There is ample cutlery and glassware, and all the appliances work, but
if you're serious about cooking, bring your own knives, cutting boards, serving dishes, ovenware, etc.

Overall, we had a fine time, and it is a very reasonable value for the money, especially compared to a hotel stay.

PS: We recommend the Harbor House Cafe in Dana Point and Olamendi's in San Clemente (next to the pedestrian bridge to the beach).
