A Truly Unforgettable Cottage !!!!

Above and Beyond all expectations! A last minute trip is stressful enough...trying to find accommodations armed with only a laptop and cellphone the day of my trip increased that stress tenfold..and proved nearly impossible...being bumped twice on the initial leg of my flight due to overbooking had me seriously reconsidering even taking this trip...7 hours at the airport..more than 20 "Not Available" responses to my inquiries for accommodations had me at my breaking point! Finally handed a boarding pass I decided to press on...10 min. before take-off and while boarding the plane I received a call from Jerry..one of his properties was available! Having looked at so many I had no idea which one was his and the stewardess telling me I must end my call as the plane was departing I told him I'd take it..and try to call before my connecting flight ..which I made with only 5 min. to spare...I only had time to call my best friend, who had dropped me off at 6am that morning and give her Jerry's # so she could let him know I was still coming but wouldn't arrive until 9:30pm and still had to pick up a car at the airport and make the drive to the property. His response to my dilemma surpassed any and all expectations a person could have!! I called at 11pm, exhausted, to make arrangements to meet, sign rental agreement,pay and get keys and then travel to the property wondering if this day would ever end. He greeted me warmly, gave me directions to the property and said everything was ready for me, told me to get a good nights rest and call him the following day. I nearly cried when I walked through the door.
Warmly lit, it was elegantly furnished and at once cozy. I found a wonderful dinner salad and beverages had been placed in the refrigerator for me, and a hand written note containing info for tv, internet access, and how to contact him the following day. Arising the following morning to find freshly ground coffee and pastries had also been left for me and stepping out on the front porch and discovering the lovely gardens and the charming white picket fence I knew this little cottage, coupled with the unsurpassed service, had left an indelible mark on my heart. I was sorry I could only stay 3 days. I know where I'll be staying whenever I return to San Diego! A heartfelt thank you to Jerry and Julie for your wonderful customer service!!
