Hi, These photos were taken last spring before the Swim Raft got towed into place. You will find scarcely any rocks on the beach or in the water and the sand feels like sugar crystals. Lake Charlevoix ranks as the third largest inland lake in Michigan, with significant depth -- the water remains comfortably cool but not as cold as Lake Michigan. You drive five miles to reach the town of Charlevoix, the closest town and a tourist attraction in itself offering many restaurants, high rolling sand dunes, a charming boat harbor and excellent golfing. You will locate the place South five miles from the town of Charlevoix, then east one-quarter mile off route M66 down a gravel lane and through a hardwoods. The place includes four rooms for sleeping and multiple baths all located on one floor with beds for up to twelve. A summer dock allows a single boat limited to 23 feet in length.

Excellent View, nice quiet location!!

Overall, we had a great time at this cottage in Charlevoix! It's very close to the sandy beach and has a great view of the lake. It's down a long lane so we didn't hear any traffic, it was super quiet. This cottage is divided into 4 seperate "studios", which is nice. We all felt that we had some privacy. Two of the "studios" don't have doors to seperate the bedrooms from the family rooms though and with a big family staying there that would have been nice. The cottage is older and out dated. It could use some updating inside and out. As of our stay, one of the sleeper sofas is broken and cannot be used. My family would return to this cottage for our yearly Charlevoix vacation.
