Nearby attractions include Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, The Blowing Rock, Linville Caverns, Roan Mountain State Park and Appalachian State University. DIRECTIONS:From highway 321 in Boone(Blowing Rock Rd.)turn onto Winklers Creek Rd. at Bojangles. Go 1 2/10 miles on Winklers Creek Rd.(watch road signs because Winkler's Creek Rd. makes an abrupt 90 degree turn) and turn left onto Rocky Creek Rd. Go one block and turn left onto Old Trillium Lane. Cabin is located at 203 Old Trillium Lane.

Only could squeeze in 2 nights in August. Too bad it was not more- a lot more!. Absolutely great place!! So convenient to town, yet so peaceful with an isolated feel. Have stayed at several places in area and this is ,by far, the best!! All the conveniences, a great bed and the BEST scenery possible. We will definitely get back as often as we can!!. Awesome week (9/21 - 9/25)

My wife and 2 children (4 and 17 months) had a great week. This was a great cabin close to everything. My kids favorite part of the whole week was throwing rocks into the stream just below the cabin. My in-laws camped at near-by julian price campground. They have been coming to the boone area for 30+ years. My father-in-law said he had been looking for a place like this for 30 years. I am glad i have found it. As long as it is for rent, I will be back. Thanks to the owners for sharing the oppurtunity to stay at Dad's Place. I highly, highly, recommend this cabin.

Great Weekend Escape!!

Dad's Place was exactly as promised...a little piece of heaven for the weekend! Missed our turnoff, but the owner was accessible by cell, and directed us right in, turn by turn!!
Loved the view and the creek and fell asleep each night to the sound of the water thru open windows! A perfect place to "just get away"! Looking forward to coming back whenever possible! Thanks Don!! I have already recommended the place to friends!

Welcoming cabin in a beautiful setting!

Thank you for all the extra touches that made our stay so comfortable. The cabin has the convenience of being close to so many sightseeing areas. But when you are at the cabin you feel that you are in a secluded area. The best of both vacation worlds! We hope to visit again.

Perfect Getaway

Dad's Place was absolutely amazing. Great quiet vacation if you want seclusion, yet minutes from all the ski lifts. Year round fun whether sitting by the fire at the creek or sitting by the fire inside the cozy cabin. Perfect getaway for any couple.
