PET FRIENDLY, rustic authentic log cabin located in the heart of the Smokie Mountains in historic Cowee Valley. This is not a modified mobile home or house, nor are we in a community type setting. A private driveway brings you to ours and only our location. We do not share with any other home sites or neighbors. An ideal rockhound's retreat. Centrally located amongst the finest ruby & sapphire mines in the region. Just a few minutes away from the Cherokee Ruby & Sapphire Mine. Fully furnished for all of your conveniences. Beautiful remote scenic mountain view from our porch or mountainside gazebo. Air conditioned for warm climate months, propane heated or wood burning stove for those chilly months. Satellite TV and DVD player for indoor activity. The overhead loft is very popular with the kids. Washer and dryer conveniently located within the laundry room. A perfect scenario for the average working family looking for an affordable vacation getaway!

Just outside the front porch is a beautiful gazebo with a priceless view of Cowee Valley. Come see what you will never get in a hotel 'in town'. Remote, private, and scenic at it's best!

Private and remote, our authentic log cabin is located in the heart of Cowee Valley, adjoining the Nantahala National Forest. At almost 3000' elevation you are literally in the clouds. We are only minutes from the Little Tennessee River, which offers all sorts of water activities and fun. Downtown Franklin is only a 20 minute drive, and has a variety of stores for any of your shopping needs. Gatlinburg, Cherokee, Highlands and other surrounding towns are easily reached for any day or night activities. For the traveler who just wants to get away, you can just stay on the premises & enjoy the beautiful mountain view . 'Cowee Valley Log Cabin Getaway' is a rental property owned and operated by Jeff and Tammy Warshaw. All renters, and any person associated with the renters, of said property agree to release the rental property and it's property owners from any and all liability associated with any personal loss or injury occurring at or near the above listed rental property.

What a great cabin in a great location. We loved watching the beautiful sunsets from the swing in the gazebo. The kitchen had all the amenities of home (and some even better). The perfect place if you are looking for seclusion with lots of peace and quiet. A very short drive down the mountain were loads of other things to do, including exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and the quaint neighboring towns of Dillsboro, Franklin, and Waynesville. The weather couldn't have been more perfect when we were there. The owner was wonderful to work with and provided prompt reservation responses. Overall, a great experience to refocus on the important things in life. Marilyn and Paul

Fantastic!!!!

This cabin was wonderful and exactly what I expected. The views were wonderful, the cabin was very clean, and overall the trip was fantastic. Within an hour you can be at some spectacular waterfalls or the Smokey Mountains. Lots to see and do. It was nice to relax back at the cabin which was the best stocked rental I've had as far as vacation rentals go. Lots of extra blankets and pillows as well. I would definitely recommend this cabin and will probably rent it again when I want another mountain getaway. The perfect place to unwind, destress, and "shut off the noise" of a busy life!

We went to Cowee County for a wedding but I got more then I count for, I went on line and found this cabin. It was the most romantic, quite, nicest, cleanest little one bed room /w loft cabin. It has everything you want and more. My wife and I sat on the swing looking over the mountains and just watch the sun set. It was so beauitful with the fall leaves then in the morning around 8:00am I ask my wife if she was going to get up she told me "the sun isn't even up" What she didn't know the sun was on the other side of the mountain. Again I went back out to the swing and watch the sun come up like I have never seen before. as the sun came up it just hit the moutain tops a little at a time lighting up the fall leaves. MAN!! Then at night was cool and the fire place was so peaceful and relaxing. for somone that has a rat race for a life this cabin is just what me and my wife need.

This was a perfect cabin for our stay. Comfortable, warm and cozy. Beautiful views!
Everywhere we wanted to go was within easy driving distance.
We will certainly be back and would not hesitate to recommend this to our family and friends.

Best vacation ever!

Comfortable cabin with beautiful views. Centrally located to lots of local activites such as gem mining, zip lining, waterfalls, and the parkway. All you need to bring is clothes and food.
