‘Sanctuary’ defines itself somewhere between a posh rental property and a quaint inn. Providing guests with an impressive range of comforts, the owner avails herself to be as absent or present as clients prefer. The intent being to permit guests to readily assume the joys of life in the country; automatically plugging-in to many lesser known and finer points of the naturally diverse and culturally rich locale, while luxuriating in a truly ethereal setting. 'Just a stone’s throw away', guests will be directed to a swimming’ hole, twice daily yoga classes, horseback riding, bicycle riding and picnicking - all that and more arranged in advance for the savvy sojourner to effortlessly partake. Sanctuary’s sublime architecture stands with strength and grace. The open floor plan of the main room, originally the body of the church, is a truly sacred space. The soaring ceilings ascend dome-like to culminate at about 25 feet in height. Walls and ceilings are covered in beautiful antique tin.

Interior space has somewhat of an urban loft layout that is open to 2-1/2 acre bucolic private surroundings.

First of all the place is immaculate. It has everything you could need. no need to bring everything with you.
The interior is so unique and well appointed it shocked me all the beautiful furniture the owner keeps at a rental-- not your average rental BY FAR!!

And the owner was very accomodating with the odd time we decided to arrive. No problems what so ever.

It is very close to woodstock and the yard is very nice for just relaxing.

We had the most amazing honeymoon here at "SANCTUARY" - the antique church nestled in the woods in Woodstock,NY. The space is gorgeous, immaculate and comfortable - with the details very well attended to. I can't wait to get back there. The host was very accommodating.
