Guestbook comments from the owner

I was honored to be one of the first guests to stay in your cabin. I loved the rustic charm and the decorations that fit right in. The shower rod, bark and cones on the lamps and the curtain "rods" all added to the charm. The decorations made me feel like I was actually sitting in a cabin in the 1930s. The stationary was absolutely beautiful. I loved the windows and the way the light reflected off of them (especially with the Christmas tree lights). The sound of the creek was so peaceful. I wish it was warmer so we could have opened the windows. Thanks for a great couple of days. Hope to stay again. Pam Banks

This cabin was a little piece of heaven for my husband and me. The creek was so peaceful and is just below the screened-in porch. The decor of the whole cabin is perfect for this type of place. We have recommended it to our friends and plan to stay here again.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from our second trip to the smokies and are already looking forward to going back next year. We first found The Ole Creek Cabin when we went down last year for our wedding. We had decided to get married at one of the local chapels and when I looked on VRBO, the pictures and information Bryan provided for his cabin made it more than inviting. It's close to town, convenient to everything we needed and the sound of the water outside the window is something that I won't soon forget. The only downside is that there's just entirely too much to enjoy and so little time to do it on a weekend. I'm hoping we will be able to enjoy an entire week there next time. We plan to go back each year on our anniversary because it's an amazing place to stay and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. I feel like it's become our home away from home and I can't say enough good things about it.

New Favorite place

  • 5 of 5

Wow we just returned from a week in the cabin. As soon as we arrived I knew we had finally found our favorite cabin! The sound of the water next to cabin in stream was so cozy and the picnic area and porch were perfect for being outside with our kids. The coziness of the cabin was so inviting and we enjoyed every minute and didn't want to come home. Close drive to town. Great area! We did have to go to the laundromat one time but that was fine it is close and grocery store was close. My husband fished in the stream in the mornings. I grew up coming to the smokies and now that I bring my kids I will be coming back I this cabin! Owner was very kind and helpful with booking process and everything was clean and in order. Truly a great vacation!

Great cabin in great location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for new years. Plenty of room for 2 couples. we actually walked to and from downtown rather than paying and waiting on a taxi. the walk is not bad because of the scenery youre surrounded by. Privacy was A+. Note there is only parking for one vehicle which didnt bother us because we rode in one. I had noticed someone had complained about parking in an older Review but it was no problem. The view youre surrounded by is beautiful and I look to stay here again possibly this spring or summer.

Rustic, but clean

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was just what my family was looking for! I have a 6 & 3 year old and they loved staying here; they are already asking to come back. There is a path with a hand rail to the creek, which was fun to wade and fish in. The bedrooms were cozy, but all that was needed. I don't think you can really walk to downtown from the cabin. It's probably about a half mile away. It is not on the downtown strip. However, this was not an issue for us. The cabin's kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. We ate every dinner there during our 4 night stay.

My greatest delight was to find the cabin stocked with pump soap and dishwashing soap and even condiments in the fridge! Never before have I rented a house that had those things. I would highly recommend this house for a family who will enjoy all the out door amenities this place has to offer. And at night, there's satellite tv!

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time. Just to clarify, the cabin is 9/10 of a mile from redlight #3 on the Gatlinburg strip. We walk downtown frequently but some may rather drive the short distance to the strip. Thanks, Bryan.

The cabin was wonderful. Location was great! Loved listening to the sound of the creek, scenery was beautiful as well. My only complaint is the small parking area.
