We have visited the Gatlinburg area for years, staying in cabins, chalets, motels, and even campgrounds, but this by far was the best stay ever!! As soon as we walked over the footbridge that crossed the roaring river, we reached the cabin. The minute we opened the door and got a glimpse of the inside of the cabin, our little 4 year old boy exclaimed, "Mommy, we're staying in the Little House on the Prairie" cabin. It was priceless. We had always admired the frontier style cabins located in the National Park and thought how wonderful it would be to actually stay in a truly rustic cabin. But....when we starting thinking about really having to "rough it", we changed our minds. This cabin offered the pioneer feel with all of the modern conveniences! We could sit on the screened in porch or at the picnic table and have lunch or dinner with the most wonderful creekside view possible in the mountains. At night, no lumpy mattresses, but the softest bedding. The bedding combined with the roaring sound of the water at night lulled us all to sleep! It was no doubt the most relaxing stay we've ever had! I hope the owners keep the pioneer feel forever! If you like all of the fancy decor and "fake" mountain feel offered in some of the newer cabins, this cabin is not for you. If you long to experience how life might have been in the mountains long ago, but enjoy all of the modern day conveniences, this cabin is definitely one that will please. We can't wait to make another trip from Florida to Gatlinburg and rent the little cabin again!!
Owner's Response: I am so glad your trip was a great one. We strive to offer the experience you have described. Thanks and we would love to have you visit again.
