Offering beautiful views of the ocean, beach, and hills, this showpiece home is surrounded by towering trees and open space, all just 18-20 minutes from downtown San Francisco. The perfect combination of city and country, this non-smoking gem is tucked away on a wooded hillside, set high on a large lot. A lovely beach park is a 5-10 minute walk away through this quiet, semi-rural neighborhood. You will see deer, birds, and other wildlife while just minutes from San Francisco and many other Bay Area destinations.
The home is a large, spectacular, and modern seven-level, twelve-room, three-bath beauty, with many lofts, bonus rooms, hideaways, and decks, spread out over 4000 square feet. The innovative design features over 50 windows, glass doors, and large skylights; soaring beamed ceilings to 20 feet high; two spiral staircases; jetted bathtub; and ample use of wood throughout. Views of the ocean, beach, forest, and hills surround the house, through every window and from every deck.
This house has a wonderful floor plan and great amenities. We visited in February but the weather was lovely and warm; we went to the beach almost every day for a week. Getting into San Francisco, tourist areas, etc. was super quick too. Maybe 15 minutes to downtown. The house has about 8 bedrooms if you count all the lofts and little rooms, like the loft above the master bedroom which is a charming little place, although it’s not closed off from the master bedroom. Master bathroom is very nice with the jacuzzi tub. There’s a rooftop deck which has great views of the peaceful woods area in back of the house. Overall the house is very clean and neat. The rate was excellent too, very economical for such a large and nice house, great bargain. Wonderful experience for the whole family. Would stay here again next time.
I stayed here with my husband, three kids, grandparents, and six in-laws, and it was perfect. Exceeded every expectation! It’s a great mixture of large public areas (huge living/dining/kitchen area on one side of the house, and another large family room/guest kitchen on the other side) and also private areas (only four actual private bedrooms, but several other private areas, one playroom the kids used as a bedroom, another small private office with a twin bed that we used as a bedroom, two sleeping lofts with nice comfy beds, also a sofa-bed in the family room that we didn’t need to use because of so many other sleeping areas that were more enclosed). The layout meant that everybody could get together as an extended family when we wanted, but everybody had there own space to go back to if there was too much activity in the main gathering areas. Or if they wanted to go to bed early. It worked perfectly and I recommend it very much for any large group. Oh, the house itself was very well cared for, seems both casual and elegant at the same time, very clean and organized. The kids loved the beach although the house is not actually on the water (it’s a five-minute walk). Only problem was that you have to drive to get to the San Francisco tourist areas, because the bus was too slow—we tried it a couple of times and it took over 45 minutes. The BART subway might be a little faster. Driving was very quick though, 15-20 minutes and we got downtown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, and so on. Driving in San Francisco was not too bad at all. Coming home to the house from downtown SF always felt great, like an escape. Overall a fabulous experience!
An excellent place to ring in the year 2015. Highly satisfied with this beautiful villa. Excellent service as well. No problems at all during our stay. Everything was clean, the beds very comfortable, everything in working order and generally quite new. Truly beautiful house and surroundings. Very practical too, has everything needed. Especially enjoyed watching the ocean while eating breakfast on the front deck. Beach very close.
We stayed for five days in mid-February. Really excellent place. House was just beautiful, clean and modern and well-kept-up. Lots of room for everyone, the nooks and crannies and lofts give a lot of privacy for whoever needs it. The views and close location even better than expected. Very convenient. Very peaceful area but shopping is nearby too, we found several good restaurants close by. We recommend a car though, BART is nearby but driving is easier. Overall a great experience, everyone loved this special place.
This beautiful house matched all of my needs, and when I contacted the owner about setting up a rental date, he did everything in his power to match my wants and needs. It was an exceptional experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone. When we're in the bay area again, this will be our first choice!
This was our family’s Christmas house this year. We couldn’t have asked for more. Plenty of space for three generations and the kids loved all the extra rooms and secret spaces. Plenty of privacy for everyone. (We used the four main bedrooms plus the den plus the office as private bedrooms, and the toddler used the little loft.) The adults loved the views, great design, clean and modern feeling, and everything being well-stocked (kitchen, bathrooms, soaps, detergent, and more). There’s even a fancy BBQ in the back yard which isn’t mentioned in the listing but was very much enjoyed during a warm spell we had. Beach is close (short walk) and owner is very responsive and prepares everything well; even had a full set of Christmas decorations set out for us upon our arrival. Every detail was taken care of. Overall it was perfect for our family. Hoping to come to this same house for Christmas in the future.
Pacifica is a beautiful coastal town of 40,000, located near San Francisco, California--just south of the city limits. This house is in the Pedro Point district, Pacifica's 'garden spot' and most upscale neighborhood. The area is quiet, peaceful, and semi-rural, yet very close to San Francisco with easy access to all the Bay Area has to offer.
