Prescott is conveniently located and close to many amazing places. The Historic Courtyard on Whiskey Row is in downtown Prescott. There are shops, museums, art galleries, candy and gift shops, restaurants and there is usually something going on there. Festivals and art shows are common. 10 min and you are at Costco and near the Prescott Gateway Mall, with many shops and restaurants. The 1.2 million-acre Prescott National Forest, which surrounds the city on three sides, contains hiking trails and other outdoor recreational opportunities. We are approximately 1.5 hrs. to Phoenix, 2 hrs. to the Grand Canyon, 1 hr. to Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon and 40 min. to Jerome, just some of the places well worth seeing. Where else can you get such a perfect climate, in the summer months enjoy the warm days but the cool nights. In winter, there may be snow but it usually melts by the next day.
We, John and Chris Dokos grew up in the Chicagoland area and presently live in West Palm Beach, FL. We moved here this year '15 to help provide our parents a safe and secure environment and spend more time with them. We travel to Prescott several times a year to enjoy our home, it's our special getaway place for now and will again someday be our full time home. In the meantime, we enjoy sharing it with travelers like yourself.
Chris Dokos purchased this house in 2005
This is a very homey and clean place to stay while visiting Prescott. It feels as if you are secluded as you take in the views from the balcony but actually in less than 10 minutes you can be in downtown Prescott.
Comfortable, cozy home with a great location. Not only close to local attractions but also close enough for day trips to the Grand Canyon, painted desert, Sedona and more. Prescott, itself has many great features and visiting the old town Courtyard area is always a pleasure.
Just wanted to say thankyou for the wonderful accomodations! We have used this property on several occasions for a family reunion. There is plenty of room for several families to stay, but yet still cozy at the same time. The kids were able to play downstairs in the recreation room, while the adults could to talk upstairs, so everyone was happy! The back deck is perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee with a great view of the mountains. The property was well maintained and had all the essentials for a relaxing vacation. I like that it is a short drive to downtown Prescott, so you can enjoy some of the attractions and resturaunts the town has to offer, but you still experience the tranquility of the mountains. I would definitely use this property again and recommend it to family and friends!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us this past July. Our family reunion was a great success! The house was very accommodating for the group that we had. The spa was an enjoyable way to unwind after each fun filled day. The best part, was being able to see the fireworks from the upper deck - it felt like you could reach out and touch them! What a great Prescott experience! Thank you again!!
We just returned home from a week at the home with 100 mile views and boy was it great. Overall the house is very well equiped, spacious and comfortable. Much of our time was spent out and about enjoying the absolutely beautiful rugged terrain of the area including a day trip to the grand canyon. at night we would grab some wine and sit under the stars in the hot tub. On our next trip we hope stay in and cook a few meals and enjoy them in front of the gorgous rock fireplace.
Overall, i would rate this as one of our best vacations ever. Thanks!

Although "Luxury" is not the word I would use to describe this property, it was nice enough. Everything worked fine and it had all the things you would need to get by easily. The bedroom layout would accommodate up to 3 couples to stay very comfortably but the 4th bedroom and den area would be better suited for kids due to their furnishings (no mirror, clock, dresser, etc.) The deck was nice and the washer/dryer were big. All linens and paper products and soaps were provided. We found a great place for breakfast close by called Wally & Molly's and a great place for dinner called Willow Creek Inn.
The best part of my trip to prescott A.Z. was the start of each day , sitting on the deck watching the sun wake up the mountains off in the distance. Then planning my day out while taking in the 100 mile view of the area, looking over the valley. The nights are great also , the sun goes down, the grill goes on and you watch the valley turn on. The stars ,including the shooting stars were something to see . The house was great with plenty of room ,its the deck and the view that will get you. Each day started out perfect and ended perfect and it was all about the 100 mile view. If you get the chance take , it is something you will never forget. Bill from Rhode Island
