We spent months looking for the perfect place at Wintergreen Resort, outside of Charlottesville, VA. The most important thing to us was a spectacular view, not just one from the living, kitchen and dining areas, but the master bedroom and bath as well. Our views will knock your socks off. We also wanted to be close to the golf course, spa, fitness center, tennis courts and just to be able to walk for the 'health' of it. We can do all these things on the ridge (which has amazing views of Lake Monacan and the Valley below), and the many hiking trails nearby!
The next thing that was important to us: new construction, modern appliances, tiled baths, and attractive décor. We have always been sure to maintain our condo to a very high standard. We have yet to go into our unit and have it not be in excellent condition. Of course, you will have contact information in your Rental Contract , though, so you will know whom to call should any housekeeping or repair problems arise.

To give you an idea how nice this condo really is, a D.C. couple came to stay one August. They really knew Wintergreen as they had honeymooned there: they were so taken with our place--they bought it!! They have been too, too kind and have let me hang around to look after things. Best of all, they always invite us to stay in our 'old' condo ourselves when we can get there, so we can see for ourselves how great it continues to be. They have recently renovated the unit with new cabinets, granite, tile, kitchen and bath fixtures, carpeting and other upgrades. Come stay and see for yourself what we all like so much about our slice of heaven.
We divide a year into basically three rental periods. SKI season, IN season and OUT of season.
SKI Season depends on snow.
IN Season is Memorial Day Weekend to the end of October.
OUT of Season is end of SKI Season to Memorial Day Weekend plus November to the beginning of SKI Season.
SKI season - a two day weekend $450, the three day weekend or four day mid-week is $595, a week is going to be $895.
IN season - a two day weekend $395, the three day weekend or a four day mid-week is $495, a week is going to be $795.
OUT of season - a two day weekend $295, $395 for three day weekend or a four day mid-week, $695 for a week.
There is surcharge for Holiday periods. Free shuttle service during ski season. There is in addition a housekeeping/cleaning fee of $100. Dog Fee is $100 weekly, weekend $50. Refundable Security Deposit of $200. Cancellation Policy: rental fee is returned less $75 cancellation fee if we can re-rent at the same rate. Occupancy is no greater than five (5). Please let us hear from you if you find a cheaper rate. We would like to try and beat it. Please include the property number so we can make sure it is an 'apples to apples' comparison.

My name is Peter Cole and I am the owner’s representative. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Woody in the picture. Spends most of his day in the chair across from my desk watching me work.) and favorite; loving husband. As a Medicare-card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my mother could never bring herself to call it a job) was to take teens on cross-country camping trips; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew Doug slipped into my shoes for Teen Camping Tours of the West (TCTW) as I slipped into my retirement. My friends and relatives, worried I'd be bored in retirement, kindly gave me their resort properties to manage. My manager/agent reputation has grown and now, 14 properties fill my stable. The view is amazing (even from the master bath jacuzzi)! Morning sunrise is out of this world. Spa, pools, golf course and tennis courts are in walking distance. The chic new cafe, the Black Bear, across the street serves fancy coffee, sandwiches, snacks and entrees and has wi-fi, large TVs, fireplace, atmosphere galore. The Black Rock Market by the Mountain Inn is upscale, too.
