Tobago Vacation Rental villa

This was our first stay at Villa Nirvana and it was absolutely wonderful. The spacious 3 bedroom villa had everything that we were looking for and more. The entire place was clean and comfortable. From the private laundry facilities to the large and comfortable bedrooms, everything was great. The location was convenient. Just a short drive to famous Pigeon Point or any of the lovely smaller beaches that line the island.

What blew us away was the breathtaking view and the private plunge pool. We could never have imagined being able to wake up and gaze at the nylon pool over our morning coffee. The view was breathtaking! Evenings spent hanging out in the private plunge pool while watching the sunset with a cold beer in hand. Just amazing. And to top it off, the Villa is built and situated in such a way that the cool Caribbean breeze blows right through.

I give our stay highest points on every measure. When visiting Tobago, Villa Nirvana will now be our first and only choice.

My family inclusive of our six year old daughter stayed at the Nirvana for five nights. This is a well laid out and very open to the tropical views and breezes guest house. We found the bedrooms spacious and inviting particularly the master bedroom with a very large and study lazy boy that is a perfect addition to the bedroom. The pool was a hit with the daughter and the adults with a perfect hilltop view of the ocean, even when in the pool. The appliances all worked and the housekeeping service was very efficient. This is a great area that needs to be completed overall, but this particular villa is fully equipped and ready for use. We enjoyed the beaches close by and the sound of the birds nearby. Of course the lush vegetation encourages some small insects but there were ample supplies of "bug mats" to deal with that. Overall a good experience and one we enjoyed, in fact we have a heap of smiling pics to remember the place by.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tobago at Villa Nirvana within the Sanctuary Resort. The villa featured three spacious air conditioned bedrooms that were well appointed with beautiful authentic local furnishings. The main floor bedroom can actually be used as a self enclosed unit with its own en-suite and patio area.

The open concept kitchen, dining and living room layout was further enhanced by being fully opened to the shaded patio area with a magnificent panoramic view of the Bucco Reef, Nylon Pool and the ocean. The private plunge pool off of the patio allowed for relaxing dips any time during the day or night. The resort and the villa back onto a bird sanctuary where the pleasant cries of the “Cocrico” bird serenaded us in the mornings. All in all, Villa Nirvana afforded us a completely lovely stay with friendly neighbours and all the conveniences of home.

Away from Villa Nirvana, we also enjoyed exploring Tobago, including the local quiet beach and the Mount Irvine Golf Course just a short distance from the resort. Further afield, the popular beach at Pigeon Point was a treat with its shallow, calm and clear waters. While the Bucco Reef is quite well known and well worth a visit, we were introduced to the “glass bottom” boats and its lesser known sister reef at Speyside Bay. The reef at Speyside is in somewhat deeper waters and as such is more untouched by tourism. While snorkelling above the reef we were also able to get a closer look at Ian Flemming’s home on a nearby small island. Top off your trip to Speyside with lunch at Gemma’s Tree House where local meals are served in a sprawling open air restaurant built in, up and around a massive tree.

Tobago is truly an idyllic tropical paradise with a slower pace and friendly people that make for a relaxing vacation, especially when coupled with a stay at the beautiful Villa Nirvana. We long to visit again, in the not too distant future.
