The villa is located on one of the best vantage points at Sanctuary Villas. Guests are treated to one of the most amazing views of Buccoo Reef with the Caribbean Sea all around. Pigeon Point can be seen further away.
We enjoy wonderful sunsets (especially recommended when sitting in the plunge pool with a nice, cool drink).
The villa is equipped with everything you might need for your stay and offers enough space for up to 6 or even 7 persons.
All three spacious A/C bedrooms have an attached bathroom with ceiling fan. Each bedroom faces the sea so one can simply enjoy the view whilst lying on the bed.
The open kitchen is connected to the living room. We provide all modern kitchen appliances and serving wares for you to enjoy home cooked meals.
Cable TV, free wifi, stereo with Ipod dock, laundry facilities, coolers are all provided at the villa.
Very close to the villa is a little super market, an ATM, a fruit stand, some bars and restaurants and a pizza place. Also, try out the local food at the stand in front of the super market - it's delicious!
Only about 10 minutes walk and you reach two great beaches.

Decided to have a second home in Tobago so that all of my family could enjoy it during the holidays and other occasions. We all love going to the nearby beach at Grange, a wide sandy beach with clear water to swim when it is calm. There is also good snorkeling at Mt Irvine. We are ideally located near four beaches, close to the airport and Scarborough. Can't think of a better location in Tobago with a panoramic seaview of Buccoo Reef and the Caribbean Sea.
Enjoy a peaceful vacation and spectacular views of the Caribbean sea to the front. On afternoons, we sit and take in the fresh cool breeze that comes through the house.
Staying at Villa Nirvana is much more than the perfect vacation away from home. The villa is well equiped with all necessary amenities. It is very clean and tidy and well kept. The private rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and ensuite bathrooms. Each room provides a spectacular view of the ocean and Buccoo Reef. The plunge pool is just a step out from the main level bedroom and living/family room and is a great for the whole family (any ages) to sit around and relax.
We have stayed at Villa Nirvana on several occassions and always felt safe in this secured environment.
We highly recommend taking a vacation at Villa Nirvana in Tobago.

This is a great villa to stay in! Our entire stay was very nice. It started with Frank meeting us at the Trinidad airport. He was very helpful with directions and explaining the area attractions to fit our wants. He acted like he was our personal travel agent and really helped make our vacation a success. We asked about exchanging money, and since it was a weekend, he personally assisted us with exchanging enough money to make it until the banks opened on Monday. He even wanted us to call him when we arrived at his villa to make sure we arrived okay-even though we wouldn't get there until midnight.
The villa was located with the best view compared to others in the area. The rooms were nice and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a nice supply of coolers and chairs for beach visits.
The area has plenty of beaches, restaurants, and bars. We liked a local kitchen on the corner with excellent chicken roti and local meals. The Fish Pot is close too (but the sign is down-ask around) and it has great fresh seafood.
Overall, a great place to stay!!
A group of six of us had the pleasure of staying at this villa. The location was easily accessible from the airport and also within walking distance to numerous beaches.
There were a few bars and food places as well. All in all a great visit and we would definitely return.
This was our first time in Tobago and we loved it! The accommodation added to our enjoyment. Frank met us at the airport in Trinidad with directions and keys. No problems there. The setting was wonderful as it was rural and adjacent to a bird sanctuary. The bedrooms were sumptuous with separate bathrooms, AC and in our room a king-size bed! The kitchen was well laid out with all the necessary pot and pans needed for meals. The view of the Caribbean and reefs from the patio was beautiful. You could enjoy the view while relaxing in the pool! There was plenty of room for the four of us and we could have easily handled six with no trouble. Lastly, the housekeeper every other day kept us in fresh towels, made beds and clean floors.
We certainly plan on returning to Tobago and would not hesitate to stay here again.
This villa is nicely situated at the top of a ridge to catch all the breezes. It was very comfortable for 4 adults and 1 child, with 3 bedrooms each with own bath. It's a short walk down a hill to local shops and several good restaurants: The Fish Pot and the Seahorse are both highly recommended! It's about 15 minutes walk downhill to the beach, but the uphill climb was taxing for elderly parents. The owners were very helpful in delivering keys and providing detailed directions, and we found the villa clean and well-appointed.
Found out about this place by word of mouth; a friend of ours had stayed at one of the other villas and recommended the location.
Very pleased to report the place is beautiful and clean, with all the amenities you would expect. The owner and staff are very pleasant, efficient, and accommodating. Nights are comfortable with the cool night air on the mountain, though we did need the AC some nights. Beds and baths were spotless and everything worked.
The real attraction is the serenity and natural beauty of the setting. The westward view is amazing, with clear line of sight to the blue of the Buccoo Reef and Pigeon Point. You can even tell the height of the tide by how much of the reef is visible from the verandah! Walk out on the large lawn to check out the view of hills, sky and sea.
As a hobbyist photographer I found something amazing to shoot almost everywhere I pointed the lens - a fiery red flambouyant tree at the front, bougainvillea and hibiscus flowers, an incredible variety of bird life in the area, and a breathtaking western view of the island and ocean. We ended most days' adventures with drinks in the plunge pool, watching the sunset slowly glorify the entire sky.
About the pool: it is a superb feature as it's plenty large enough for socialising, but small enough that the sun warms it up by the time evening arrives to make it agreeably warm. Then overnight it cools to be refreshing for the hot part of the next day! It gets cleaned daily - though we never saw or heard the pool guy, he was definitely doing his job.
After the sun sets the stars come out. The place is remote enough that there is little light pollution. My kids couldn’t believe how many stars there were - far more than they ever get to see in the city.
Some quick extra notes:
- You will need a vehicle as the villa is at the top of a considerable hill. Once down the hill though, nothing is particularly far away.
- There are many many beautiful beaches in Tobago, but oddly enough our favourite turned out to be Grange Beach, literally two minutes down the road.
- The forest is close and as a result the bugs come out in the early evening and morning. I'd recommend bringing some sort of repellent.
To sum up: Highly recommended, unique, and a perfect place to get the 'relax and recharge' part of the vacation covered in between busy days of sightseeing.
Villa Nirvana is ideally located close to the Grafton Bird Sanctuary, 1 mile from Mt Irvine. We are just 15 minutes from the airport and the Inter Island ferry port. At nearby'Triangle Square' you will find restaurants, local food outlets, fresh fruit stall, ATM and bars.
We are walking distance from the Grafton/Stonehaven and Mt Irvine beaches.
