I have recommended this condo to my friends and family, there is no higher praise.

  • 5 of 5

The other reviewers are exactly right, the condo is lovely and the views are amazing. I decided to discuss some of the other benefits of the condominium.

First, it is very near the Port Authority Bus Terminal, that means you can take the Airporter or Express bus from any of the three major airports and get to the condominium for $16 one way, $9 for seniors. You will have a walk of less than 2 minutes, perfect, and they run every 15 minutes.

We almost always walk or take the subway and the Port Authority has the A,B, & C lines. That means you can easily get to the World Trade Center, several museums, and the theater district. Everywhere else you will probably want to go runs through Times Square station and that is just a 5 minute walk away. The Circle Line boat pier is just a 10 minute walk down 42nd street and I highly recommend you take one of their cruises around Manhattan. If you want to take a taxi there is a queue on 9th so you don't need to try to hail a cab.

There is a very nice deli-market right next door but if you are planning on eating in occasionally there is a Food Emporium, a full service grocery, in the next block. The doorman will direct you. The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly. We were there for nine days and it was only a day or two before they recognized us and had the door open as we approached. Everyone in the building was very nice, it was fun to be living among 'real' New Yorkers.

We have stayed in VRBO listings all over the world and Susan's was the best by far. The unit books up far in advance so be sure to contact her as soon as you know you will be in NYC.

Exceeded all expectations!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a month in this beautiful, quiet respite in the middle of the lively theater district. Every aspect of the condo met our needs and exceeded our expectations---the aesthetic simplicity of the decor, the amenities in the building including a fitness center and laundry facility, both with incredible views of Manhattan, the kind doormen and concierges (professional and friendly), the easy access to transportation. But the most amazing thing about the condo is the unbelievable views of lower Manhattan---Freedom Tower, Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building ---from the huge windows of both the living room and bedroom. We could hardly take our eyes off the views. Day or night, the view charms. The unit is high enough up and the quality of the windows are such that the unit is very quiet. We looked forward to coming home at the end of a busy day to this perch high in the sky. Our host, while not present, was helpful in every way.

Impresionante, Lujoso, Comodo, Ubicación y Vista

  • 5 of 5

No Place Better!

  • 5 of 5

Aloha!

First off have to start off by thanking Susan for allowing us to stay in her wonderful place! I came to New York for my very first time with my boyfriend to celebrate my 30th bday and could not have made a better choice.

Everything in this apartment was just as described but honestly much better in person. The VIEW! That alone is to die for! If you think the pictures are great wait till you see them in person. I posted several pics and videos from this apartment and everyone back home now wants to stay here.

The building was very upscale without being uncomfortable (in that pompous sort of way). The fact that it was so close to Times Square was another bonus! Need another? It's also just steps away from the Port Authority bus terminal so it is a breeze getting to and from the airport. Everything was just perfect!

Mahalo Susan for your hospitality and hope to return again some day :)

Peaceful and Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I came to visit NYC for the first time in over 20 years and this place was the perfect place to reexperience the city. Coming from Europe after a long travel it was very accessible from the air port and the building staff was very accommodating. The views from the apartment are so magnificent. My wife and I enjoyed sitting by the windows in this apartment most during our trip. The view is different at every hour of the day and you feel like you see all the sights without ever leaving. Great view of Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and the new World Trade Center freedom tower. You could sit here for hours and not get bored. The apartment is modern and organized and very high up so you can enjoy the city but aren't bothered by the noises of the city. My wife and I will stay here again one day and the owner is very kind.

Great Recommendation!

  • 5 of 5

A friend recommended this apartment to my husband and I when we were planning our visit to NYC. They have been staying in the apartment once a year for the past 5 years so we had to see what it was like. I must say after our stay we will definitely become yearly visitors too! I couldn't think of a more convenient place in the city to stay in. I love the shopping and my husband likes the tourist-y sights and this place allowed us to get to all of them with such ease!! The apartment itself was beyond what we ever could have expected. The views are amazing and the pictures do not do the place justice. The unit was so clean and had everything we needed for our stay and the owner was the most accommodating. This apartment really made our trip complete.
