The Cowboy Cabin was a great place to stay. The area was peaceful and serene and just what the doctor ordered. The area is close enough to cities like Michigan City, New Buffalo and LaPorte and yet you felt as though you were so far removed from it all. The beach was close by and the sunsets were gorgeous. We were also able to take our dog who loved swimming in Lake Michigan. Coffee on the patio every morning was such a pleasure and the weather was excellent for our stay. I could have easily stayed another week. We brought most of our food with us and grilled as much as possible. We did have pizza at Stop 50 one night, which was overpriced for the quality. We shopped at the nearby towns and also went to Four Winds to make a deposit one day. There was a horseback riding stable but it was outrageously priced so we did not participate. There were some great walking trails and just walking around the neighborhood looking at all the beautiful houses was a real treat. I would most certainly recommend this property to a friend and relative. In fact, we are thinking about renting again next year. Thank you for a wonderful time. --Pam
