Hello,
Went with Wife and 2 kids in July 08 , we show up and there is no linen for pull out for couch for kids, went to front desk and was told that unit is privately owned and they cannot help me , we ended buying sheets at walmart, There was no phone number in condo in case of emergency?????? whats up with that???.
Bedroom mattress is so worn we ended up buying air mattress,beach towels, at walmart as well. There was no hair dryer , and just 4 bath towels , had to buy pan to bake fish in oven none in unit, no beach towels or beach chairs ,deck of cards, or anything else but bare neccessitys, which is ok if you rent a hotel room but not privately owned unit , everyone complained about how slow elevators were . I also assumed we could get towels exchanged daily for clean towels (Resort owned units do ), but again it is privately owned ,so we went Laundermat twice.We did however have a great vacation , and unit is in good location , But you CAN do better than this resort . We will come back to Myrtle next year but will look at other options .
Owner's Response: All important dates, addresses and phone numbers are in the contract that should always be with you in case you would like to verify anything with the resort, owner etc. It is all written very clearly and comprehensive.
The unit has replaced the mattress into a brand new one just now and has always enough linens for the bed and the sleeper sofa which can all be found in the bedroom closet.
There are also all kinds of kitchen utilities, like pots, pans, blender, george foreman grill etc. In case somebody needs a real fancy pan, this is not the right place, as it is a vacation place and no restaurant.
Also, all utilities and extras are listed on the web page so it is clear to every renter what all is provided. Cards, hair dryers and all little extras we had put to make it nicer have been removed by renters who are sometimes not traceable in every little thing, but unfortunately it forced us to put only more necessary things into the unit, though a sound system, blenders, grills etc are not standards in every unit, but provided in this one.
Another big plus of this place is the beautiful tile floor that keeps the place clean and hygienic compared to other units whose carpets soak in beach sand and humidity. Furthermore the bathroom is newly remodeled and pretty.
Overall this is a very nice and taken care of place, that will make your stay at the beach pleasant, fun and convenient!
