Custom log home on Lake Huron. Lakeside has numerous decks for the most beautiful sunsets! There is also a fire pit and sand volleyball court on the lakeside. Access to Hiawatha National Forest trails for all of your recreational activities-biking, hiking and four wheeling. The home is decorated beautifully in a rustic decor. The home features stainless gas grill, convection gas range, dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and washer and dryer. There is a Marina on the road for putting in small boats, sailboats or jet skis. This private road is a favorite vacation spot for many-it will be yours also!!

Nearest Airport: Kinross at 30 Miles
Nearest Motorway: I75 at 7 Miles
The home is located in the Upper Penninsula about a half hour East of the Mackinaw Bridge. The area is known for the Les Cheneaux Islands. The home is located in beautiful St. Matin's Bay and has direct views of the Mackinaw Bridge, Little St. Martins Island, Big St. Martins Island and Mackinaw Island. Some of the favorites for the tourist and the locals are visiting Mackinac Island, Mackinac City(shopping and water park), Hessel and the Les Cheneaux Islands by boat, Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie and hiking and biking in the nature trails. There are also many golf courses in the area. Hessel is also known for the Antique Wooden Boat Show in August. But I believe the best feature of the area for most is just relaxing and enjoying the water, scenery and serenity of the beautiful Upper Peninsula with family and friends.

A very great place to stay...truly paradise!! We had three families with 11 people total and had plenty of room. There is so much to do here for adults and kids. The sand pit, the water, the trails for 4 wheelers, the deck, etc all keep everyone busy and not crowded at all. We really enjoyed the trails for bikes & atv rides. Also a small park 8 houses down to change scenery for lil ones...our kids 8 yrs & down had a ball exploring & swimming...they slept great!!
Plenty of space & comfort...Tv works for vhs & DVD only though..no network news,etc. Highly Reccomend this place...we have rented previous houses & this one by far the best...Kim super easy to deal with too!!!
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great time away in the northwoods of the UP!

Beautiful home on Lake Huron...great place for a family to enjoy some time away. The sunsets off of the lake could be the best part! The large family / dining room and deck were enjoyed several times daily. There are many fun things to do around the area if you don't mind driving about 30 minutes. The surrounding towns of Hessel and Ceaderville are very friendly. Be sure to check out the bakery in Hessel and the Hessel Bay Inn...great food. Excellent customer service by the owner, Kim, very good to deal with. Can't wait to go back next year!
