CHARMING COTTAGE AT RIDGEVALE BEACH

We were so pleased with our recent stay. A beautiful beach (Ridgevale) is only two blocks away! It is great for younger kids (who can play in the tide pools) or older kids who can swim in the sound. We loved the white sandy beach & couldn't have asked for a better location.

The house is clean, well described and well stocked. Whenever we went to look for something we needed - whether it be a band aid, beach toys or an extra cutting board - it was there. The house is very comfortable and provided everything we needed.The owners were great to deal with. We would rent this house again.

We loved going to The Lazy Lobster & Hangar B in Chatham & the clambake at The Chatham Bars Inn. Chatham is a great town for shopping & has a great bookstore. We also enjoyed checking out some other beaches - particularly Nauset Beach in Orleans - but were always happy to come back to Ridgevale. It was our favorite.

Great little cape... small, but nice layout, remarkably clean and stocked with everything you will need. Outdoor shower, fire pit and wifi was all a plus and the location cannot be beat. Short ride to town and all that Chatham offers, but within a three minute walk to Ridgevale Beach, which is great for kids who love to explore. Owners also provide a convenient wagon and chairs for lounging at the beach while the kids hunt for crabs and fish.

We were very happy in our weeklong August rental and felt the owners were responsive and helpful. While you are there we recommend a boat ride to see the seals and grabbing a lobster dinner for takeout from Chatham Fish & Lobster... quality.

If you want a simple, clean and well-located rental where you can walk to the beach, this place is it.

Staying here for several years now, I can honestly say that this little cottage has everything you could possibly need including a large enclosed outdoor shower in the back. As part of Buck's Creek Association, there is access to a private beach within a 5 minute walk.
This beach sits between the public beaches of Cockle Cove and Ridgevale which makes this spot perfect. As you see cars heading to the public beach, you will realize how truly lucky you are to have YOUR beach only steps away. It is also a fantastic early morning walking neighborhood to get you day started. I have been going to the Cape since I was a kid, and I can honestly say that Chatham is the best town on the Cape. There is nothing like some steamers and a beer at Squires, and The Candy Manor has the best fudge in the world. There are plenty of great little shops with something for everyone. I would highly recommend this cottage in Chatham to anyone- as long as you take MY weeks!
