Relax inside or outdoors while listening to the waves on the beach and the whisper of a breeze in the towering white pines. While enjoying the morning light filtering through the trees you may see whitetail deer, red foxes, turkeys or a bald eagle patrolling the skies over the shoreline. In the evening you can watch a spectacular Lake Michigan sunset while walking the beach or from the comfort of the house. Our secluded Norton Shores location offers a quiet, peaceful retreat to make your west Michigan vacation one you’ll want to experience again.

Local Activities and Attractions: There's more fun at our dune home than just our private beach and beautiful Lake Michigan! Our central west Michigan location offers activities that include boating, sailing, swimming, skiing, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, horseback riding, dune rides, golfing, hiking, biking, seasonal festivals, fairs, concerts, hunting and cross country skiing. West Michigan has fantastic state, county and city parks with beaches that are rated amoung the best in the World! The 'Lake Express' high speed cross lake ferry offers wonderful service to Milwaukee and back. Michigan Adventure water/amusement park is the best in the state. Craigs Cruisers offers indoor and outdoor activities, Tour the USS Silversides WWII submarine and the LST-393 transport ship, Take a cruise on the Port City Princess. Simply perfect.... :)

We stayed in Wayne and Tina's dune home with our 4 young children.....it was lovely to say the least! The house is newly remodeled and immaculate! Loved that we didn't feel like we were staying in someone else's dirt! :) We cooked our meals at the house most of the week and the kitchen is very well stocked with good basics! The private beach is beyond awesome! We spent the majority of our 7 days doing nothing but digging in the sand and swimming! We maybe saw 10 people walking the beach ALL WEEK! It was so private and peaceful! It did rain a couple mornings so we explored Muskegon. There is plenty of fun things to do but it is not touristy at all which was a BIG plus for us! Wayne & Tina provided us with lots of ideas of things to do! The children LOVED exploring a WW11 Ship and submarine! We got to watch kite surfers one windy day! That was really cool! There are lots of nice clean parks too! Even the public beaches were very clean with only a few people on them. We talked to a man from Grand Rapids who said that he thinks Muskegon has the nicest, cleanest beaches in West Michigan! This was definitely the perfect place for our family....a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy God's creation!

Peaceful Retreat

We had an outstanding vacation at this dune home. Owners, Tina and Wayne are very hospitable and quite knowlegeable about the area. The home is pristine and peaceful and exactly as described - photos are quite accurate. A very well maintained property in a peaceful neighborhood of dune cottages.

We enjoyed our two week stay with our two daughters and spent most of the time on the beach or on the deck. You don't get very much of a view of the lake due to the heavy foliage, but it's only a short walk through the woods over a small dune or using the private stairs of the owners cottage across the road. The beach is fabulous and quite private and butts up to about many acres of wooded dune beach with no other homes for several hundred yards to the north.

We enjoyed the proximity to Muskegon, yet felt as if far from civilization.Highly recommendd for families and/or retirees. Thanks for a great stay.

Absolutely beautiful!

My fiance and I stayed here for a long weekend, and our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! The house is gorgeous, the views are breathtaking, and the owners are not only pleasant, but also knowledgeable of the area. The beach is a short walk away and provides picturesque sunsets. We highly recommend staying here.

A great place to stay and relax!

My family and another family stayed in this cottage and it was a great time. The **private** beach is very close and it is absolutely gorgeous. The furniture is all modern and the kitchen appointed nicely. We had a great time and hated leaving.

Get away from it all

This is a great place to relax. There are woods around you and the lake in front. The best of both worlds. The house is really clean and comfortable. We had breakfast out on the deck every morning. The sunrise over the lake is incredible. Wayne and Tina were very helpful, providing several brochures to local attractions and pointing us to some great restaurants.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
