'The Vacation Maker' does exactly that--ready to meet all your needs when you come back from a great day at the beach (a short 2 1/2 blocks away), or from exploring the quaint shops and restaurants in our charming downtown, or from playing at Kids Korner playground only 2 1/2 blocks away. Store your beach gear in the enclosed back porch, then relax on the welcoming, air-conditioned front porch furnished with rattan love seat, chairs and table, or go inside to the large, open living room and dining area. The beach colors and decor of this house also remind you that you are on vacation! It has three bedrooms. The downstairs master has a queen bed. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have 2 twin beds. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. Large backyard, deck with table and chairs, gas grill, stove, microwave, frig/freezer, towels, linens and more! Don't miss this one! Location: Southwest Michigan < Michigan < USA

Three blocks from South Haven's South Beach-beautiful sand, sights and sun! Eight blocks from town/harbor/marina where Harborfest in June, a 4th of July Festival, and a Blueberry Festival and Festival of Cars in August are big attractions besides smaller art and crafts, car and boat shows throughout the year. Marina and boat ramp are available for your own toys, or you can rent zodiac boats, wave runners and kayaks! There is room along side of our cottage to park boats, etc. We are 2 1/2 blocks from Kids Corner park and Tot Lot. Van Buren state park is 2 1/2 miles away, which has hiking trails, dunes and beaches. Beautiful Kal Haven trail is minutes away where you can explore by biking or walking. We're also a short 25 minute ride to Saugatauk for more exploring, shopping and eating!

I think you will find it very fresh and clean, inviting and comfortable!

Rocky start but good ending

We rented the vacation maker back in July, heading up with 2 teenagers and 2 younger children. The house was plenty big enough for us (could of used a 2nd bathroom due to the teenagers), but lots of space to spread out. We did have some issues the first day (smoke alarms going off, no gas for the grill, ants in the kitchen), but after contacting the owners, the issues were taken care of right away. We enjoyed every day, having fun at the beach, renting bikes for the trail, walking to the downtown area, or fishing, we didn't want to leave! I especially loved drinking my coffee every morning on the enclosed front porch. We even my parents join us for a day, and there was still plenty of room to spread out. Great place for the family to reconnect and relax.

My family, consisting of several teenagers, spent a week at The Vacation Maker and totally enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very comfortable and homey. Extremely clean and well maintained. We went on many walks, enjoyed every sunset on Lake Michigan, was very happy with the movie theatre, had wonderful meals in town, and enjoyed spending time on the deck. I would recommend this cottage to any family.

Peaceful Weekend

My family of 4 stayed here for a very enjoyable and peaceful weekend. Highlights included being able to walk to a lovely beach on Lake Michigan, and being in a great location for additional sightseeing and visiting some of West Michigan's vineyards.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable. We would certainly enjoy a return trip.
