Charming lakefront home on North Georgia's most beautiful mountain lake. Enjoy cool crystal clear water for swimming, water-skiing, tubing and other water sports. Experience spectacular sunsets from the party deck atop the boathouse, and then have twilight dinner overlooking the water. Rock in a rocking chair on the back porch as you watch the boats go by or listen to the waves break against the seawalls. Many activities are available within a few minutes drive from Lake Burton, including golf, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking and shopping. We offer pontoon boat for rental. We are pet friendly!!!

Lake Burton is one of the most beautiful lakes in North Georgia, located about 10 miles from Clayton. The water is cool and crystal clear, making it perfect for all water sports. The surrounding mountains of Georgia and North Carolina make for spectacular scenery and refreshingly cool evenings. There are several golf courses nearby, fantastic hiking trails, horseback riding, excellent fishing, and whitewater rafting and canoeing on the Chatooga and Nantahala Rivers. Unique mountain crafts and shopping nearby also.

House has only one step up. Master bedroom door is extra-wide so it could accommodate wheelchair. Bathrooms are not handicap equipped but home is all one level and porch overlooks lake. Steps down to boathouse and lake.

Wonderful Vacation At Lake Burton

Our family had the best vacation at our stay on Lake Burton. The lake house was perfect for what we needed. I knew this the minute I walked inside and noticed how homey and comfortable the surroundings were. The property was also well maintained and clean and had everything we needed. The boathouse deck and front porch were my favorite places. The beauty surrounding the home was breathtaking and there are also many activities you can enjoy. Swimming, diving off the dock, using the Pontoon Boat to go tubing or just to take a nice relaxing boat ride around Lake Burton. It is a fun place for all ages to enjoy and we cannot wait to go back. It will be a place we'll return to again and again.

The perfect vacation!

This was our second year returning to Lake Burton at this house and we enjoyed it just as much this year as last! The house is charming and beautifully decorated and the boat house/party deck is so much fun and offers amazing views of the lake and mountains. Lake Burton's water is so clear and clean- we spent the whole week swimming and boating! Would thoroughly recommend it - clean, well-maintained, perfect location on the lake, timely service by the owners!

Spring Break Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time on Lake Burton. The house was very nice. Just as described. The owners checked in on us via phone when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. It was nice to have a bathroom in every bedroom. The kitchen had all necessary appliances and utensils to cook meals. The house has a spectacular view of the lake. We rented a boat from the local marina and everyone was very friendly there. The lake is very clean and gorgeous. We weren't very lucky on the fishing, however, it may have been too early in the year. We really enjoyed our time on Lake Burton and look forward to returning in years to come.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. We went the latter part of March and it truly felt like a private lake for us. Minimal boat traffic and noise on the lake. The house is well decorated and has all the amenities you need. The owners are also "pet friendly" which was a wonderful way to let our whole family experience lakeside living! Would definitely recommend it -- we plan on renting again!

Wonderful Time

House, ambiance, and lake were great...as advertised. If you can't relax here, you can't relax anywhere. Our group of six stayed very comfortably. Our daughters (8 & 11) enjoyed swimming nearly all day in the safe cove. Jumping in from the dock was a blast, as was fishing, reading on the porch, and just hanging out. Beautiful views of water and mountains. Lake noise fairly limited. We brought our canoe and had great paddling too. The house was clean, charming, and well-maintained--and not over-sized and pretentious like some lake houses can be. The kitchen was fully equipped with appliances in good working condition. Games, books, TV in good supply. Beds were comfortable. Owners were friendly and prompt with contractual things and return of damage deposit. I highly recommend the house. Enjoy!
