More About Hutchinson Island & the Treasure Coast:
Hutchinson Island is part of Florida known as the 'Treasure Coast,' which extends from Sebastian down through Palm Beach County. The region was so named because several Spanish ships carrying gold and jewels from Havana were lost in a hurricane in 1715. Long and narrow, Hutchinson Island is a unique barrier island, separating the ocean from the mainland. On a map, it's located along the middle of the Atlantic coast, near Port St. Lucie and Stuart, between Jupiter and Ft. Pierce. Our condo is located on South Hutchinson Island in Jensen Beach, across the causeway from the mainland. Unlike parts of Florida today, Hutchinson Island retains the charms of 'Old Florida,' including a tropical landscape (enhanced by palm trees, bougainvillea, and flowers), a relaxing pace, minimal traffic -- and no noise except the waves of the ocean! We think we've discovered the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the best of what Florida has to offer. We invite you to come see for yourself!
