The white sandy beaches and clear blue ocean water are sure to get you in that vacation frame of mind very quickly and keep you there! The Hollywood boardwalk promenade remains the focal point of the beach life. It stretches for about five miles right along the beach and the city of Hollywood continues to make improvements to this area.
Most of the restaurants and quaint shops along the boardwalk are locally owned and really treat both vacationers and residents alike as their special guests. There are abundant choices for either casual or fine dining or you can just enjoy a drink and take in the spectacular sunset.
There are many activities to keep you busy in the Hollywood area. You can rent bikes, Rollerblade, jog or just walk the boardwalk. Golf, fishing, boating and other sports attractions are just minutes away. Several times a week, the city sponsors free concerts at night in the Johnson street amphitheatre (three blocks away) and people dance along the boardwalk
