Pet friendly, but could use a good cleaning...

Overall, the cleanliness of the cottage left me disappointed. I guess I expected more because I had paid a cleaning charge. Maybe the next guest will benefit from this charge.

Pros:
* Both dogs were allowed
* Very dog friendly neighbourhood
* Neighbours were friendly and knowledgeable
* A lake was within walking distance
* Convenient to South Haven and Saugatuck
* Deposit was returned within 3 business days of our stay

Cons:
* Power had gone out the night before our arrival; however we were not notified until the next afternoon, two hours into our drive time to Pullman, MI
* We were greeted by a mostly decayed bird on the porch, upon our arrival
* Smelled funky like a very musty basement
* Grill grates had not been cleaned or even scraped (and there was nothing to scrape them with)
* Kitchen floors needed a good scrubbing
