Great Fall Folliage Getaway Cabin

This cabin is in a quiet residental area with very big lots so you felt like you are in the country but not isolated from civilization. The back of the cabin, as the photos show, is all glass windown. Nice views. We brought our Harley in a trailer and found the driveway very easy to access with both trailer and bike. The location is outside of town therefore a car is a must, but it is only a 10 minute drive to downtown.
This cabin is exaclty as the photos illustrate. Practically brand new. Perfect for 2 couples as the layout had 1 upstairs and 1 downstair bedroon, both with a very comfortable queen size bed. It was very clean and well maintained. There is a stone walkway leading to a gazebo by a brook at the back of the property. Wonderful place to read a book, listen to the gurgling water of the brook or gaze at the pond by the gazebo. Very relaxing.
The owner provided great customer service. I never spoke with her, but she responded by email within a few hours of any emails that I sent to her.
This vacation, for us, was a fall folliage trip, so the main attraction for us was riding around the countryside leaf peeping. Lots of good roads for biking, both motorcycles and pedal type. For the motorcyclists, you are only an hour or so from Deals Gap and Cherola Skyway. We went to the Cherokee Museum in Cherokee, which I would recommend. Cherokee is at the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains Park. Cherokee is an easy and scenic hour or so ride over the mountain. Whitewater rafting is less that an hour away for those who like that. Too cold in October for us to do. Lots of national forests in the area. Downtown Murphy has a fun store called Moose Hollow Trading Company with an assortment of cabin or country furniture and accessories. Flea market in town every Tuesday..We would recommend Murphy's Chophouse, also downtown, for a nice dinner out. Good food and beverages. Prime Rib was excellent.
We enjoyed a great getaway vacation at this cabin. We were there for a week, but wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend it.
