Quiet & secluded, nestled at the edge of the forest, this house is one block from the beach and has a beautiful view of the woods. Sleeps 9 people and is located due west of Portland. Location on little-known coastal road shelters this nook of the coast from the hordes of beach-seekers. The house is completely remodeled: Hardwood interiors, lots of skylights and vaulted ceilings. The huge master bedroom (king-sized bed) offers a stunning view of the woods through the floor-to-ceiling picture windows making up making up three sides of the room. A 'kid's bunkhouse' sleeps 2-3 and adjoins the deck near the bedrooms There are 2 bedrooms + the bunkhouse + a sofa-bed in the living room.

For 40 miles Highway 101 turns inland between Tillamook and Lincoln City. But running along the coastline (and unknown to most travelers) is beautiful 3 Capes Road. Nestled between Cape Kiwanda and Cape Lookout is the secluded village of Tierra del Mar. This is the Oregon Coast of the old days…even at the height of the summer season you can usually walk for miles without encountering another person. The house backs on State Forestland in the isolated community of Tierra Del Mar (halfway between Tillamook and Lincoln City, near Pacific City). Tierra Del Mar is located in the middle of a very quiet 8-mile stretch of white sandy beach. At one end of the beach is an estuary where you can spot everything from herons to seals to eagles. At the other end of the beach is the rarely visited north side of majestic Cape Kiwanda. 20 miles from Lincoln City (restaurants, shopping, outlet mall, casino). 20 miles from Tillamook (restaurants, shopping, scenic plane rides, Air Museum)

My family and I stayed in this home and the other home owned by this person in Tierra Del Mar.
I had viewed these homes several times, but this was the first time we rented them.
I would highly reccomend either of the homes, they were clean, comfortable and dog friendly.
We did eat out at the Pelican Brewery in Pacific City for lunch one day, but stayed in and cooked the rest of the time. It is a great place to stay with family and friends and just relax, play games, and visit . I love the beach at Tierra Del Mar, I am a runner and it is a great beach for running.
We will definately stay in these homes again.
