Welcome to the old Big Sky Firehouse. Located in The Meadows of Big Sky Montana, the character of this property is enhanced because a part of it was once the Big Sky firehouse. Of course the fire poles and trucks are gone, but the history of this property adds to it's charm. The property was moved and remodeled and a new addition was built to transform the 3,200 square foot home into the perfect lodging destination for your Big Sky vacation. The first floor great room has a cathedral ceiling with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. The room surrounds you with windows and mountain views. Don't be surprised if you wake up to a moose at your door in the morning. There are plenty of moose sightings. A large kitchen with a breakfast bar and large pantry, a laundry, three bedrooms with queen beds and two full baths complete the the first floor. The lower level has two bunk room and a full bath. The second floor has a large loft area, full and and a bedroom with two twins.

Skiing is great at two resorts, Big Sky and Moonlight Basin, within a 10 minute drive from the house. Summer is filled with miles of mountain biking trails or blue ribbon trout rivers. The Gallatin river is 3 miles away. The world famous Madison is 1 hour away. Other world famous fisheries such as the Big Hole, Yellowstone, Beaverhead, Henry's Fork and the Paradise Valley Spring Creeks are 2-3 hours away.

We loved our stay in the Firehouse! It is a great hous in a great location. We enjoyed celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary with a nice dinner party by the fire and hot tubbing under the stars. Thanks a million!

We have a group of adult skiers/snowboarders that try to go on a trip each year. We like to stay together in one housing unit, which isn't always easy. In February 2009 we made our first visit to Big Sky, and it was one of our best trips ever. A lot of that was our accomodations. We had 11 adults, and the Firehouse was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well-equiped. We have never had as much "elbow room" for such a large group, and the owners could not have been not have been more attentive and responsive. In addition, the location was great for us, not far from the shuttle and within walking distance of restaurants and equipment rental shops. Combine the accomodations with a great ski mountain and the location near Yellowstone and you have the setting for a perfect trip. We would have no trouble convincing our group to come back here for a repeat.

Thanks for a great stay at the Firehouse. The attention to detail and extra space made everything just perfect. The house is so comfortable and makes settling in to Montana life almost immediate. The loft is an especially great room for kids and gives them their own, very private, space. Looking forward to coming back soon.

March 2007 - We had a fantastic time at the Firehouse. It accomodated our family easily, 7 kids, 2 adults. If the kids are pleased then you know it is good! Easy drive to Big Sky slopes, loved the open layout of the house - helped me to keep an eye on the younger ones while I cooked. Close to everything you will need. Rick was a gracious host and very responsive to our needs.

Enjoyed the Firehouse completely. We had a family reunion with people aged 6 months to 76 years and everyone felt comforatble with the home. We are looking forward to renting again. Rick was a pleasure to deal with and responded to every question we had in a timely manner.
