Additional Information on the House: The house was built in the fifties so it has some quirky things (like lights downstairs that you can only turn on with a pull switch) about it but it is very charming and most people love it ... especially the location. It has two floors as follows:
Main Floor: This is the floor that you enter the house in. It has both bathrooms, the kitchen, living area, dining area, fireplace and one of the bedrooms (with a very comfortable queen bed). One bathroom has a shower and the other has a bathtub. This is the floor that you enter the deck from and go to the beach.
Downstairs: This floor is a daylight basement that you can also head out to the beach from. It has the 2nd bedroom (also with a comfortable queen bed), the laundry room and a small living area with a queen sleeper sofa and full futon. There is also a fireplace with a woodstove insert.
Hood Canal, a fjord off Puget Sound, has an average width of 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and an average depth of 500 feet (152 m). It extends for about 50 miles (80 km) southwest from the entrance to Union, where it turns northeast and extends for about 15 miles (24 km) to Belfair. It separates the Kitsap Peninsula from the Olympic Peninsula for its entire length. The house is on the East side of Hood Canal facing west towards the majestic Olympic Mountains, historic Seabeck has a great country store, espresso shop, café, gift shop and marina. You will find even more in Silverdale (15 minutes) including a shopping mall, many restaurants, cinemas, antique ships and much more.
