Bar is complete with refrigerator and all glasses. Family room has a walk out basement door to the patio. Backyard has a fire pit and there is also a fire pit near the lake. (Wood is provided for the fire pits and the fireplace).

The cabin is located on Little Dummy Lake, (real name), a quiet no-wake lake, less than 4 miles from Cumberland (the Island City). Rice Lake is 15 miles away and features Super Wal-mart, Shop-Ko, cinema 7 and many restaurants.

Cumberland has antique stores, bars and grills, restaurants and Peter and Annie's World Market. The Isle Theater, which had sat vacant for about 15 years, has been remodeled and now can be rented for parties, it features Nessy's Bar and Grill in the back. There is a large public beach and hours of boating around the Island city.

Near by Barronett has a newly opened organic store, called the 20 mile. If you like bike its a beautiful ride to Barronett (blacktop back roads). The 20 mile store features produce, prepared foods, wine & cheese, plus their own forzen custard. They also feature gifts and crafts. Another unique place to visit is Helsterns Wood Carving. Barronett has a cafe, bar & grill and Bistro's Supper Club.

A little farther North is Shell Lake, the largest lake in the area. A popular spot is the Pottery Barn, where you can buy and paint your own pottery, then it is glazed and fired. While you're there, you can shop and have lunch. Friday nights they feature musicans from the area.

Wonderful Weekend Away

  • 5 of 5

This property was wonderful for a quiet get away for 4 couples. We had a great time and the cabin was very nice. It was well below zero both nights and you could feel some drafts but the fire place helped keep us all warm. The owner was very easy to work with and has the cabin well stocked. It was nice not to have to drag so much from home.

Great Choice Of A Place To Stay

  • 5 of 5

There were ten of us that stayed at this Large Cabin and we were all impressed as to how nice it was. The setting was great having access to the lake. We were very close to the wedding we attended and were quite please with everything. We would highly recommend this cabin to friends and family.

Amazing place

  • 5 of 5

This was the most beautiful setting, quiet, clean lake, gorgeous cabin with wonderful views. The pictures don't do the place justice, you have to see it to believe it. Tracy was delightful and extremely helpful and her history of the place is very interesting. We had 10-11 people fit comfortably into this place and we will definitely be coming back. It is an easy commute from the Twin Cities and close enough to Cumberland to pick up any extra supplies or groceries, and to do a little shopping.

Great family fun!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great cabin experience for our family-myself, two sisters, and mom w/ spouses and kids ages 20 months-8 years. Overall the space worked out okay for us, though it was definitely cozy and a little crazy at times with everyone running around. The cabin was wonderfully stocked, which was one of the greatest ammenities available! Our only challenge was fitting everything into the refrigerators, but having a cooler or two for beverages alleviated the issues (and we tend to overpack/eat). The owner was very helpful and friendly, making us very comfortable and feel at home, which can be hard to find. The lake was very warm and a great size-a bit weedy on the swim out to the dive raft, but that is generally unavoidable in lakes in July. The kids had so much fun fishing, adults did too, though not many "keepers" to filet...this was okay by us since the action was the important part :) Having the paddleboats and rowboat available was perfect.

We made many, many irreplaceable memories, enjoying the time together. There was always something to do-many games/activiites available-and room to relax as well. The area has much to offer too if you want to get out for a day or two, and is close to town to run in for a bite, pizza, the store, bait, etc. For the price especially, this was great. Thank you for making our week away so wonderful!

Wonderful property-- perfect for families!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this rental near Cumberland, WI. It was secluded and peaceful, yet close to town to run in whenever we needed something. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the kids' room with the bunkbeds. We enjoyed both of the firepits and swimming out to the raft. We had a lot of fun playing cards and games on the rainy days. We also had a great time exploring the area. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay! Thank you Tracy, for helping us to make wonderful family memories!!
