Take a REAL vacation, not a stressful vacation. The Outer Banks has everything you need.....history, gorgeous beaches, water sports, world class fishing, surfing, wreck diving, and more!

Come to a place where there are NO fast food restaurants and NO chain stores ! Buy freshly caught seafood for grilling, kayak the sound to view the wildlife, and just relax. Too many things to do to list.... Experience what a vacation is supposed to be !! Local grocers are also just down the road and the beach access (with bathhouses) are about 2 miles away.

ALSO, if you REALLY want to be on vacation, then visit the website for Shore Details (see below).They can have your groceries (and a bottle of wine!) waiting for you in the house! Or if cooking is ALWAYS a chore, then they can hook you up with chef services at the house or maybe prepared dinners waiting for you in the frig when you come home from a day of surfing, fishing, kayaking, sunning, diving,or site-seeing!

Our cottage is like coming home. You will sink into the King Size Select Comfort bed and never want to get up, but when you do, the sunroom is great for all-morning coffee and conversation until you get geared up to climb the lighthouse, dive the wrecks, parasail, kitesurf, or just lay around on the unspoiled beaches of Cape Hatteras and read from our small library of nautical books!

Shore Details will come in after you leave on Sunday and clean the house thoroughly for our next visitors!

We took our extended family to this fabulous house....so comfortable...the owners have planned for anything you need.....casual, relaxing....and so close to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, shopping in AVON, shopping in Hatteras, the ferry to Ocracoke - a wonderful day trip. Loved, love the fresh seafood from Risky Business in Hatteras...bought tuna, flounder, scallops and shrimp and cooked them on the gas grill at the house.....you must try the bikes and kayaks..but our favorite thing of all was waking up in the downstairs bedroom with the most beautiful view of the canal at eye level.....The full moon at night was pretty amazing as well...you must try. After 15 years staying up near Nags Head we opted for something a little further south. The home was perfect. It's a great location, and lots to do. The house was very clean, comes very well equipped, and is comfortable and homey. It's also a great perk that the owners provide many extras, from the kayaks and bikes, to the foosball table.

There were 6 of us, my wife and I and three of our adult children and daughter-in-law. Very quiet neighborhood. Many options for dining and a bit of shopping. Grocery is close, and the beach is a short drive away.

Will definitely consider this home again next year!

My husband and I had a wonderful peaceful vacation at this great home. It's clean, comfortable, and the owner has supplied everything you might need - just bring your toothbrush!! The view of the marsh is great for bird watching - we saw opreys, herons, kingfishers, and more. The couple of questions I had were answered promptly. This was the most welcoming vacation home I have ever stayed at!

Recommended for: Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Romantic Getaway
