'Forest Pond Cottage' is located in the Adirondack Park in Northern New York. It is situated on the edge of a seven acre beaver pond and surrounded by 110 acres of hardwood forest. The cottage is the only dwelling at the end of a town road which allows for easy year-round access yet ensures privacy. With every season there is a whole new variety of outdoor activities to enjoy. The cottage is an oasis from everyday living with all the comforts of home to re create from within. There are endless trails for hikers, bikers, cross country skiing, ATVs and snowmobiles.

Just driving to Forest Pond Cottage on the Number Four Road will give you the sense you are leaving negativity behind; whatever it may be. If it's water & woods that you like and you don't want to drive, stay on the property and explore the nooks and crannies around Forest Pond. There is always one form of wild life traversing this 110 acre property. You're guaranteed a show at dusk by the resident beaver family, too. Kayakers and canoeists may prefer Francis & Beaver Lakes, the Beaver River, or Stillwater Reservoir, There is no end to the trails and dirt roads available to hikers, bikers and horseback riders. Hike to the Independence River, Panther Pond or Half Moon Lake and we guarantee you'll come back for more.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This was our perfect weekend getaway. Weather cooperated nicely. The cottage itself is extremely clean and well kept. It is a very cozy, welcoming cottage with plenty of land to explore. Do not hesitate in booking this cottage, you will not be dissapointed one bit. We actually overpacked as we did not expect all the amenities at the cottage. Linens are very clean, Cookware is in perfect condition. However, if you need a baking cookie sheet, bring your own. We had our two small dogs and they loved the well kept area around the cottage itself where they could explore!!!! Dan is extremely helpful and nowledgeable of the area. Scenic drives are extremely beautiful. Bring your hiking shoes as you will be inclined to venture out.

How beautiful it is to wake up to the sights and sounds of the Adirondacks. A dragonfly will glide by, a frog will hop into the water and the beaver plays nearby. Besides the bon fire and the serenity of no outside noise; no vehicles, no lights, just the fire and the stars! The most incredible stars. We couldn't even keep track of the shooting stars we saw! I've had a wonderful time with my friends and will always remember it.

Such a lovely, peaceful place. Mist rising from the pond in the early morning. All the sounds of civilization erased by the ring of trees around the cottage & pond. Thank you for letting us stay in this clean, tidy & cozy cabin in the woods. Just our style! We watched a Blue Heron fish this morning and then tried to imagine how the passing seasons look from the porch of the cabin. Beautiful, quiet.
