Description of the Catskill vacation cottage rental
Sky Island is the unique ecosystem of the craggy cliffs of Shawangunk Mountains famous among rock climbers. Nestled between the Rondout Creek and the D&H Canal, the cottage sits in a pastoral glade of trees, birds and deer. Kerhonkson is a Hudson River Valley town of natural beauty. It's a five minute drive to Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve. This totally renovated 1840’s cottage is ideal for a couple, but also serves as a peaceful getaway for anyone wishing to spend some quiet time alone. It has a wood burning fireplace, cathedral ceiling with skylights and a private deck. It's an easy entry to the D&H Canal Rail Trail for walking, bicycling, cross-country skiing or bird watching. Regretfully, we cannot accommodate children or pets.
