Weirs Beach Vacation Rental house

This lakehouse is in a perfect location with a small private beach just steps away and the Weirs Beach boardwalk a nice easy walk down the street. Parking in the driveway was no problem but if you have a second vehicle parking on the street is tight. The state beach is within easy walking distance but we found the private beach much nicer. We found the house to be clean and very comfortable, with a porch that was great for relaxing on at the end of the day. Great views could be had from the porch as well as the master bedroom. Being able to bring our dog was another huge plus. He was welcomed at the private beach but no animals are allowed on the state beach. This house is a great place for anyone who has young children or even teenagers. Because there is so much within walking distance there is no need to constantly pile everyone into the car. The neighbors were friendly and offered suggestions for dining and places to see. Our favorite restaurant was Canoe located in Center Harbor. Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant is a definite must! Great food and service and a wonderful family restaurant. The Kellerhaus is a great place for "make your own sundaes" and we also stopped there for the waffle breakfast which was very good. The Mount Washington boat tour is the perfect way to really see the lake. We did do the Hobo Train but found it to be hot on the trains and the sightseeing from it was just ok. We noticed that little ones either fell asleep or got extremely fussy. You are not able to walk around while the train is in motion. You can purchase drinks and icecream onboard. We also drove around the lake which was extremely easy and was another great way to see the lake and the surrounding towns. Without stops it takes approximately 2 hours but there are lots of places to pull off and shop, eat or just relax and watch the world go by. We did need to contact the owner once during our stay and he was extremely helpful and considerate. We ended our week watching the Friday night fireworks right from the house. We had a great vacation and would return to this property with no problem.
