Located in the hamlet of Coffee Creek, Creek Stone Cabin is in the heart of the Trinity Alps forest of Nor. California. Discover a peaceful cabin and large porch overlooking a beautiful forest setting. The cabin is in a forest of cedar, pine and fir trees and is within walking distance of the Creek. This is an ideal vacation destination for those who want to get away from it all but still want access to the rivers, lake and village amenities. Imagine a day on the lake and evenings on the porch! The Cabin features a large porch with Adirondack chairs, a living room with a wood burning stove, and a front room of natural cedar and river rock. Full kitchen features a 4 burner propane stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Cabin includes a breakfast table, large dining table and entertainment center with stereo, DVD and CD player. Two bedrooms each with a double bed, one bunk room with with bunk beds. 1 bathroom with Tub/Shower. Washer/ Dryer. Tasteful mountain decor

Creekstone Cabin sits on the side of a forested hill looking southeast towards Coffee Creek. The cabin is located on the edge of the Coffee Creek village. The small community is just north of the Trinity Lake with a Forest Service Station, a country store/deli, a Volunteer Fire Station (the hub of local social life), and a community church. The hamlet is approximately eight miles north of Trinity Center on Highway 3. There is ample parking for boats and a drive through driveway. You are a short drive from the marina and boat ramp at the north end of Trinity Lake in Trinity Center and yet far enough away from town to enjoy the forest wilderness. You are surrounded by mountains on all sides with Billy's Peak, Scott Mountain, Bonanza King, and Scorpion Ridge visible from valley floor. Coffee Creek and Trinity River meet at the south end of Coffee Creek before feeding into Trinty Lake. The area is well known for its excellent fishing and swimming hole.

  • The 2 bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house providing privacy. The bunk room is a small room with a bunk bed set set between the bedrooms. It does have a door directly to the outside. All bedrooms have closets and double hung windows with wood blinds and window treatments. All rooms are decorated in the mountain cabin motif typical of the region.

Notes: Pets are considered but guests are cautioned as to the necessity of leash and supervision. The cabin is surrounded by a forest and wilderness. The local wildlife includes elk, foxes, deer, bears and mountain lions. This is not an appropriate outdoor environment for unsupervised or loose domestic animals. The cabin does not lend itself to larger dogs. An additional flat fee of $100.00 is charged for each pet.

Great Atmosphere: The Creekstone Cabin was built in the 1960s and has the charm associated with the use of local River rock and cedar in the custom construction. The front of the house has a river rock backed soapstone wood burning stove from New England. The furnishings reflect the mountain location. Upholstered couch and chairs offer comfort in the living room. The bedrooms maintain the theme of the mountain cabin decor.

Large Porch: The front of the house that overlooks Coffee Creek Road offers a large porch for relaxation and reading. It is furnished with four Adirondack chairs.

Great central location: Since the Cabin is on the outskirts of the village of Coffee Creek, it is close enough for convenience but far enough away for privacy. Coffee Creek is a great location because you are close to both the Trinity River and Coffee Creek as well as Trinity Lake. Coffee Creek and Trinity River converge at Coffee Creek before they enter the Lake. This is the location of one of the best known swimming holes in Trinity County, known locally as 'Mann Hole'.

This cabin is more like a house even though it has the charm and furnishings of a cabin. The front porch is wonderful for taking in the surrounding forest and enjoying the outdoors without needing to leave the comforts and amenities of the cabin.
