The 2 levels of this air-conditioned, 1500 sq ft condo can be left open to each other, or locked off for privacy and used as 2 separate units - a perfect setup for sharing accommodations. Each level has 1 bedroom with queen-sized bed, newly renovated full bathroom, & living room/dining area with cable TV. Queen sleeper/sofa & a futon comfortably accommodate four more. Lower level has a woodstove (firewood provided in winter) & a full kitchen with dishwasher. Also washer & dryer. Upper level has kitchenette & a doorwall off the living area that opens to its own private balcony. Enjoy the swimming pool right across from condo. Or walk onto the back deck & enjoy the view overlooking the second green of the Schuss Mountain golf course in summer, or the groomed cross-country ski trails in winter. Shanty Creek is a first-class golf/ski resort located between Mancelona and the Village of Bellaire. It's just northeast of Traverse City, and south of Charlevoix, Petoskey, & Harbor Springs. The region has a busy calendar of events including art and music festivals, live theatre, winery tours, casinos, four-star restaurants, and quaint little shops. The area boasts an abundance of championship designer golf courses - The Legend (Palmer), Cedar River (Weiskopf), Schuss Golf Club (Bowen), Summit Golf Club (Diddel), Hawks Eye and The Chief (Robinson), to name a few. The area is also a popular summer destination for water enthusiasts due to its close proximity to so many beautiful lakes such as Lake Bellaire, Clam Lake, Elk Lake, and Torch Lake. In fall, the autumn colors are unsurpassed, and in winter the area provides some of the best down-hill ski slopes, tubing runs, snow-boarding, snowmobile trails and sleigh rides.   • All reservations require a $200 refundable security/damage deposit.
    Half of the rental fee is due at time of booking. The remaining balance of the rental fee and the security/damage deposit are due 30 days prior to arrival date. For reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival date, all fees are due at time of booking.
    Cancellation policy: deposit fully refunded if reservation is canceled at least 30 days prior to arrival date.
    Discounts available on monthly rentals. Additional discounts available on rentals of 2 months or more.
  • No Smoking. No Pets.
    Weekends followed by a Monday holiday require a minimum stay of 3 nights.

This condo was very nice and I was impressed with the updated bathrooms, appliances and it was very clean. Our group of 4 adults found lots of sites to see and had plenty of time for swimming, golf and tennis.

Stayed here the last week of Aug. and the weather cooperated beautifully. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a relaxing vacation site or a great site seeing trip.

One and a half hour drive to Mackinac Island was a great one day trip as well as a trips to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, winery tours, a castle tour and a day at a casino.

Great Vacation and Shari and Joe were very helpful with any questions that we had.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Joe and Shari-We loved staying in your beautiful condo, it is so clean and bright! The updates are great and we really enjoyed how spacious and comfortable it is- and the view of the 2nd hole of the golf course is beautiful and being so close to the pool was so convenient with our 3 children. thanks again and we would love to rent again!
