St. Michaels Vacation Rental estate

Many times you have to evaluate your prospective vacation rental choices with a somewhat skeptical view. In the past we have been victim to over promises and under delivery. That is certainly not the case with Halos' Haven. Last August my family, along with my brother-in-law's family (8 total), had the pleasure of spending a wonderful week at this beautiful property. I say property because it is so much more than just a house. But let's start with the house; it is immaculately kept and the amenities are superior, not the usual budget furniture and appliances found at so many rentals. The kitchen is spotless and well equipped for those "big chill" type dinners. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy, the bathrooms are modern, and the living and dining rooms are simply yet elegantly furnished. Then there is the game room...pool table, ping pong, darts, and a mini-basketball game. It is so much fun and we had several nights of family tournaments that went until the wee hours. Outdoors is even better. The grounds are well kept, private, and just beautiful. The pool and hot tub were perfect and the water was clean and refreshing (and there was even a mid week cleaning). The back yard area off of the patio is spacious and great for tossing a football or Frisbee, or just laying is the glorious sun. Then there is the spacious dock, and the water sports that go along with it. We love the water and spent a lot of time fishing, sailing and kayaking. The dock is relatively new and you don’t have to worry about pesky splinters. There is even an extra floating dock for the kayaks and sunfish. We also had loads of fun catching (and eating!) crabs. Bikes were also included and we rode into the quaint bay town of St. Michaels for some shopping and fantastic dining (try the Crab Claw). All in all, I would be hard pressed to say that we have ever enjoyed a vacation rental more than Halos’ Haven. And Michelle, the owner, is a dream. She made it clear that we should call her if we needed ANYTHING. And she even checked in with us mid-week to make sure everything was going well. Needless to say, we didn’t need anything because everything was just perfect!
