Marylebone Apartment Rental Photos and Description
1 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Home With Regent’s Park Just Steps Away
London’s grandeur, Iranian glamour, and the design flair of Sweden: the combination may be unusual, but, in Ivor Place III it’s proven wildly successful. This home’s dark wooden floors and snowy walls are enlivened by burnished copper and Persian rugs, and, too, contemporary furniture in playful primary colours. Regent’s Park is steps away, and a walk down Marylebone High Street will bring you to Oxford Street and Soho by way of some of London’s best independent shops. Be it cheese, cashmere, or a really good book, the best the world can offer is right on your doorstep.
Meeting of minds
Your busy hosts are from Sweden and Iran. They often travel for work, and to see their loved ones in Stockholm. They’re about to welcome a new addition to the family, and can’t wait for long summer picnics and visits to London Zoo.
Confluence of influence
Ivor Place III is on a typically Georgian street, all iron railings and pleasingly rectangular architecture, just around the corner from the imposing mansions that stand guard over Regent’s Park.
Inside, the sitting room has original sash windows alongside a combination of contemporary and vintage furniture, an aubergine couch and a pretty rocking chair. The kitchen is brand new, and there’s a small balcony upon which you can sip your morning coffee.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Marylebone
Marylebone can feel like a smart little market town (there actually is a farmer’s market on Sunday mornings), plonked just north of Oxford Street and entirely populated by dedicated foodies. In fact, Marylebone teeters on the edge of twee but stays just about the right side up.
Boundried by Edgware Road to the West and Great Portland Street to the East, much of the area is actually made up of handsome 19th century townhouses, reeks of Regency London and has been one of the city’s best addresses for centuries. It might be less brash and blingy than Mayfair to the south but Seymour Street is dripping with Michelin stars and Harley Street is a sort of Bond Street for essential and non-essential medical procedures.
It is also an area very much having a moment, ‘rediscovered’ by Londoners who champion its leafy calm as, of course, it gets less and less calm every year. Still, Marylebone remains one of the city’s most charming quarters and there are few places better for leisurely afternoons of cake, coffee and dinner party plotting.
