Located just miles from the many spectacular waterfalls in nearby Highlands & Cashiers, NC. Relax on the open porch while just feet from the rushing creek. Let the creek lull you to sleep in the master bedroom w/ King bed & full bath while the kids settle into the twin beds up in the loft or in bedroom #2 w/queen bed. Got extra company with you? There's a sofa sleeper in the sunroom too. There is a second porch, which is covered & has a gas grill just outside the kitchen. Visit the many local waterfalls or hike the Appalachian Trail. Ride the Smoky Mountain Railroad or Blue Ridge Mountain railroad scenic tours for spectacular mountain views. Visit the Cherokee Indian Reservation for outdoor dramas, crafts & Harrah's Casino. Other nearby activities include gem mining, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, biking, fishing, sightseeing, boating, swimming, shopping, restaurants, live theater, cinema, jet skiing & more.You may plan a short vacation but you'll never want to leave!!

Peek's Creek is A Peak of Heaven

This was the best vacation my husband and I have ever had. The cottage was perfect. It was so relaxing. The Creek was awesome. The weather beautiful. The Scenery was breathtaking. Gem mining was really great. Our only problem with this vacation was that it went by so fast and we had to leave. We Sure wished this was our home. Next year, we are planning on staying atleast 2 weeks. I really can't describe the beauty of this country cottage enought, it is something that you have to experience yourself. You will be glad you did.
Owner's Response: We arrived on a Sunday evening and found everything in the cottage perfect, not only clean but very comfortable. My husband the cook found everything he needed to prepare us wonderful meals during our stay, and having a great cup of coffee on the porch looking and listening to the rushing water of the creek was so relaxing. There was plenty of room, and it could not have been more perfect. We went to the gem mines, took walks to the water falls, and found the most beautiful lake at the top of the mountain just before you get to the highlands, called Cliffside park. This cabin is in a perfect location close to everything like Look out mountain and Gatlinburg. We would like to come again, maybe in the fall to see the leaves change. Oh and there are fish in the creek, rainbow trout, my son and husband caught a few.

What a wonderful getaway!!!....loved the stream outback....my husband was impressed that there was a garage since he was bringing his motorcyle along...was all picture perfect!!!

Our family stayed in the cabin the first week in June 2007. It was picture perfect! Our two older daughters had a blast wading in the creek and catching firefly's at night. It's on a beautiful country road that was perfect for late afternoon walks and at night we made a fire in the firepit and the kids enjoyed smores! We enjoyed our stay so much we will definately be back!
