Cove Cottage is situated on a quiet, wooded point of land right on the Penobscot Bay! Adjacent Kelly Cove, a sand and gravel bottomed tidal cove that is safe for children and super for exploring and water activities. The cottage was recently renovated and has a master bedroom suite with a high quality, beautifully styled iron pipe framed queen size bed and day bed in a separate sitting room, a living room, a large deck over looking the water, a large well equipped eat-in kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. It is tastefully furnished throughout and includes microwave, free WIFI Broadband Internet, DVD/CD player, 2 TV's, VCR, gas grill, wood stove, and central heating. All linens are provided. Normally rents by the week in summer season and by the month during the winter months. Well behaved pets are welcome. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.

The nearby town of Belfast is a historic place with a lively downtown and many homes of architectural interest. John Villani rated Belfast as the 10th best small art town in his book entitled The 100 Best Small Art Towns(John Muir Publications). There is a large supermarket and farmers market on Fridays. There are good fish markets with lots of lobster, a bakery, several exceptionally good coffee shops offering fine baked goods and sandwiches, and a terrific health food store and co-op. There are several excellent restaurants, an ice cream shop, a wine shop and a candy shop! Other shops include women’s clothing, the Green Store selling health and environmental products, a very good kitchen shop and several well-equipped hardware stores. There are three bookstores, one offering a good collection of used books. The Maskers Theater offers live productions all year. The Belfast Free Library offers musical events, readings and art auctions. A musical theater offers 3 musicals.

This is a great place for comfort and relaxation. Nice and quiet, with a view of Penobscot Bay. Every need has been anticipated. The cottage is immaculate and tastefully decorated. In addition to comfortable amenities, the cottage also has a supply of fairly current books and DVDs. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, appliances and accessories. Everything is in good working order. The cottage is near Belfast, Searsport, Lincolnville, Camden and Rockland, all with their own unique flavor, and all boast many fine shops, galleries, museums and restaurants. The owner is friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest, read and watch the boats go by, this is the place for you!
