This great Gulf Shores rental features a wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico. This two-bedroom, 2-bath Southern Sands vacation rental is only 1/4 mile from Highway 59, and is within walking distance of all the main activities in Gulf Shores. It has just been re-modeled and just opened for renters!!! This condo has a super low density with only 18 units. It's nicely decorated and includes a fully-equipped kitchen with all the modern appliances.There is a large living area with cable TV, and a VCR. Each floor has a free, heavy-duty washer and dryers. Relaxing is easy in the living room with its private balcony overlooking the Gulf and the swimming pool. Really need to come enjoy yourself here. We have only one rule: Relax, Relax, and Enjoy

No place like home does not apply here. This property was immaculate and made us feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped, the view is exceptional, the bed is comfortable and the unit is quiet.

Good restaurants are plentiful and close and there are activities and sightseeing opportunities for all interests.

The condo is sitting right on the beach and has a great view. We are also located within walking distance of some great eating places! Our favorite thing to do on the beach is to enjoy the great seafood.

This condo was great! It is clean,well maintained and easy to get to. The comminication with the owner was easy and prompt. My husband and I spent a weekend here and plan to go back at a later time. You are just steps from the beach and you just have to go to the Hang Out for at least one meal.It is a great family restaurant. There is a souvenir store just across the street. The elevator is just outside the front door, very convenient! You will be very pleased with your experience if you choose this condo!

Great Time

We (wife, 5 yr old, 8 mnth old and myself) had a great time. You have a nice view of the beach from this condo which is close to the back. The condo was very nice and clean. If you like seafood gumbo you have to go to Doc's Seafood Reasturant. Also check out The Wharf great reasturants, movies, shops and activates for kids (farris wheel, rope course and zip line). Word of wisdom if you plan on staying during a holiday, either leave the day before or after. Never try to leave the day of the holiday, traffic is TERRIBLE!! From now on if we go during Labor day, like we did this year, we will leave the day after.

Those are all great places to eat. Believe it or not I love their hot wings at Doc's as well as their gumbo! Many great places to eat very near to the condo. We normally get some shrimp and grill them on our beach side grill. There are many fresh seafood places within 2 miles of the condo. And if you want to go down to the docks you can get them right of the boat.

This was my first time to rent through Home Away and the owners of this condo made it so easy and were very helpful. The manager of the condo was very helpful by suggesting activities and attractions.The condo was steps away from the beach and in a great location in Gulf Shores. It was well maintained and clean. I was afraid laundry would be a problem, but the condo was right across the hall from the washers and dryers. I was very happy about how quiet and peaceful it was at night. I am usually a light sleeper, but it was sooo quiet I slept like a baby. Can't wait to go back.
Owner's Response: Thanks so much, we just love to hear from our renters. We try and make each experience at the condo a comfortable one. The property manager at our condo try their best to make sure the place is in great shape and very neat and clean. Thanks for you comments and you all are welcome back anytime. The condo has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Free washer and dryers are just one benefit. We are a small complex so it is less busy than the high rise condos. It is very quiet, and you can sit out on the balcony and watch the waves roll in.

Great room, but dirty

The condo had plenty of room for my family of four. Weused the balcany alot as we would watch the beach and listen to the waves. There was direct access to the beach.

I do agree with the other commentors statement about the spindles on the banisters. They are a little far apart and my 2-year old was able to stick her whole head through them.

Also, the rooms were not as clean as we expected. The bottom of our socks turned black as we wore them inside. The tubs had sand and soap scum in them from previous guests.

It was also a little strange that when the property manager told us how to access the room, she stated that "this way, I won't have to see you, and you won't have to see me".

Overall, it was an OK experience.
Owner's Response: The balcony offers such great views of the water and the beach! I am glad you were able to come down to the beach on such short notice to enjoy the condo and the beaches at Gulf Shores. We have corrected the issue with the balcony spacing last year and is at current building code standards. We have passed on your comments to the cleaners and have received their commitment to inspect this unit each time it is cleaned. Thanks for the feedback.
