Our home is located on historic, tree lined High Street in Downtown Bar Harbor. High Street is a lovely, quiet street distinguished by it's private residences and B&B's. We have a wonderful rental history, with many guests who return each summer. Our accommodations include: 2 bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with a king bed and one bedroom with a bunk bed or cribtwin or a crib. There is a Rowe queen size pull-out in the living room. All of our bedrooms and the living room have window box air-conditioners and ceiling fans. We also have cable television and wireless internet access throughout the house. There are two full bathes, one with a large jacuzzi tub and one with a regular tub. Our rates vary from $1800-$2,800 depending on travel dates.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park have a wide variety of offerings for visitors: whale watching, nature and sunset cruises, hiking, biking, bus and trolley trips, kayaking, canoeing, art & music festivals, shopping and restaurants, there truly is something for everyone.

We have been staying at the Bar Harbor Summer Home for several years now. The house is lovely and the location doesn't get any better. Our children enjoy the large back yard and we all love the flexibility of being in town.

Last summer we had our family reunion at the house. We were glad for the air-conditioning and for the large bedrooms. We especially enjoy the open floor plan of the kitchen and dining room.

We highly recommend the Bar Harbor Summer Home and have already booked next summer's stay.

A lovely house but spoilt ,unfortunately by a very impolite and intruding owner. Only four comfy seats in the family room so rather inconvenient when the house can sleep 11 people. It should be noted that one of the bathrooms is in the basement and the shower leaked badly. Also not ideal for young families as the stairs are steep to the basement.
We left the house immaculate but the owner kept $100.00 of our deposit due to the dehumidifier being used to dry the carpet from her leaking shower. Great location though!
Owner's Response: We took this comment to heart and, although, we no longer allow 11 people to rent our home, we have added two lovely new couches and a 42 inch T.V. to our Living Room.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the steep staircase that leads to the hot tub/bathroom in the basement. Our home my be a turn of the century home, but the gorgeous new jacuzzi tub and shower are really intended for adults and supervised children only. Our children love the hot tub, but one of us is close by to make sure that their silliness does not flood the basement floor or cause water damage to the wood paneling of the jacuzzi.
Out of fairness to our guests with allergies, we do not allow pets. Despite a clean appearance of the house after the departure of a family who sneaks a pet into our home, bedspreads, couches, curtains and carpets still contain their dander and hair and cause severe problems for future guests.
