Snow cottage was built in 1940 for my Aunt Margaret Snow. I inherited in 2007. Bob and I particularly enjoy Spring and Fall. July and August are available to rental guests. !
You are comfortable, you are somewhat secluded, you have easy access from the parking area to two easy steps into the livingroom.
You can go to coastal villages, or busy downtowns in Camden and Rockland. From cottage to Rockland 5-10 minutes, to Camden in 30-45 minutes. But then return to Peaceful Owls Head and Snow Cottage! The area Chamber of Congress puts out an excellent magazine/brochure which I will send to you in the Spring...great for preliminary planning!
Wonderfully accessorized inside, terrace from which to enjoy the activity of the harbor , also the porch ,the backyard grill and table and the hammock with the view!!
Care taker and Rental Manager keep the cottage beautifully and are 'on call' should you have a question or concern.
The views from the living room window overlooking Rockland Harbor provided beautiful sunsets!
Lobstermen could be seen checking their traps just 75 feet from the shore.
We choose the cottage because it is on the bay and yet close to town.

We were fortunate enough to stay at Snow Cottage several years ago. We found it to be even better than advertised, with all the comforts of home plus a beautiful view of the harbor. The location was perfect: right on the coast and close to shopping and restaurants, but removed from the crowds. It was so relaxing and peaceful to sit and watch the sunsets. The owners referred us to cruises in the harbor, and local restaurants for excellent fresh lobster. I can’t wait to go back!
I just spent my 3rd summer renting the Snow Cottage. For me, it is the perfect Maine experience. The mix of on the water and surrounded by the woods is so beautiful and relaxing. I have been coming to Me. for almost 20yrs. and have stayed in many places, but this is the one I will keep coming back to and hopefully for more than 1 week next summer.
