These ground floor unit offers the guests to BBQ on the Lanai. The condo are decorated in quality island style furniture. The master bedroom has a king size bed, 42' plasma TV, walk in closet, and separate tub and showers. The first guest room has a queen size bed, and a 32' LCD TV with DVD palyer. The second guest bedroom offers two twin beds, and a 32' LCD TV with DVD player.
The ground floor also offers the great grass area behind the unit. We have a tailgate toss bean bag game available for our guests. The living room has a 3 cushion sofa with hide-a-bed, and two large wicker chairs, a 50' plasma TV, a DVD player and a IPOD docking radio. The dining room has a glass dining table with seating for eight. We have three young children ourselves so the unit comes with a highchair, port-a-crib, and toys (please be sure the kids leave them behind). The oceanside pool area offers a great workout area, plenty of seating, a private restaurant/bar and a BBQ pit. For those of you who prefer the beach we have provided 10 beach towels,6 beach chairs, 2 boogie board and a couple umbrellas. Your stay here will be a memorable one. We hope you will return year after year.

We are a young family who likes to travel. We have 3 young daughters and 2 female dogs (daddy is out numbered). We live in Northern California. Our goal is to provide our guests with the same vacation experience that we expect and enjoy.

We have enjoyed visiting the 'Big Island' since our honeymoon is 2000. We used to stayed at a very famous resort until a few years ago when they tried to charge us $50/night per fold up bed when we were on a (Family Package). After that we decide we wanted to continue to visit Hawaii, but did not want to deal with the hotel 'profit centers' any more.
Families with young children will enjoy the ease of not having to pack and travel with items such as port-a-cribs, beach towels, games, toys and other youth items. All of our guests will enjoy brand new furniture, TV's, kitchen items, and beds. We do not buy garage sale items like some owners. We have a lot of return guests, and we hope every guests visitsd us again. Stayed for 8 nights in Jan 2015 and had an incredible time. Condo is a very comfortable home away from home. Well stocked with many extras to make vacation even more relaxing. There is starter supplies of shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, soaps, laundry detergent, etc. that is very helpful so you don't have to bring everything with you. Plenty of towels to use. Kids really enjoyed using the boogie boards and even played basketball several times. The pool and dining were incredible and staff very friendly and always giving tips on places to visit and best beaches. Doug, the owner, very easy to work with. Would definitely stay again!
My family of 3 stayed here in January. We lucked out on this last minute rental. It is very nicely furnished-no funky yard sale stuff. They have plenty of beach toys to borrow. It is especially nice to have the lawn just off the lanai. We played soccer almost every morning! The kitchen is very well stocked with gadgets for making just about anything you want to make! The pool in the complex is wonderful and so is the work out hale. Doug, the owner, is very nice. We arrived very late, and the code we had for the front gate hadn't been updated. We had to wake him up at something like midnight or 1am his time; I don't think he flinched when the phone rang! We look forward to returning at some point.
Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and my parents spent a fabulous week at this wonderful condo! It's the perfect spot to enjoy all that the Big Island has to offer, and without spending a fortune on eating out. The condo has everything you need - lovely decor and plenty of space, a fully stocked kitchen, every toy and item you'll ever need for a day at the beach, bikes and scooters, basketball and tennis raquets, BBQ grill - everything! It's lovely to be on the ground floor - our kids enjoyed the extra space in the yard and we enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai listening to the birds and the sound of the ocean.
The Oceanside pool and grill are amazing - photos can't possibly do them justice. The condo is just a short walk from the Hilton with many restaurants and other fun activities.
Doug was incredibly responsive and so easy to deal with. We can't say enough good things about this property that made our week on the Big Island unforgettable!!
Perfectly located within the resort town of Waikoloa, complete with all amenities for families. Everything was clean and stocked. Beautifully furnished and kitchen as it all!
We recently spent 7 days here and had a wonderful time. The condo is very well maintained, has very comfortable furnishings and is stocked with all the things you will need for a fun day at the beach. Because a car is required for a vacation in Waikoloa you will really appreciate having a garage to use during your stay as well. Also, the bikes, scooters and wagon came in very handy. We really enjoyed having the ground floor unit that opened up to a green space because it gave the kids a bit of area to play and run around that was away from the road.
The pool is a short walk from the unit but there is also a parking lot at the facility if you aren't feeling up to the trek. It is a beautiful pool with a shallow end that provided many hours of enjoyment for the kids.
The owner is very nice to deal with and quick to respond.
The only suggestion is to pack a few dvd's if the adults or kids like to have a movie night. There are DVD players in the bedrooms as well as the main living room but no DVD's.
We would definitely return to this unit and recommend it to others.
We needed a condo with 3 bedrooms and a location central to the activities we planned on the Big Island. It was a bonus for us to be able to stay in the Hali'i Kai community and this well appointed and maintained unit in particular.
Of note, the kitchen is fully loaded with all the dishes and utensils we needed and there were food items like olive oil and seasonings that we did not have to buy and were available to enhance the food we prepared. The lanai with table & chairs, a ceiling fan, and BBQ was a frequent, comfortable hang out spot particularly for those beautiful Hawaiian Sunsets. The condo and garage were stocked with the chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and towels we needed to enjoy Kohala's beaches. We used the golf balls available at the condo at the King's course and, in addition to enjoying our round, we were fortunate to come back with as many balls as we took!! The Hali'i Kai community is beautifully landscaped and the pool and ocean views are gorgeous. (The pool is approximately 0.3 miles from the condo, an easy walk or bike ride.) Near the pool is an access point to a hiking trail that leads to a small black sand beach to the north and the Anaeho'omalu Bay (A-Bay) beach just south of the Hilton Waikoloa Village to the south.
One suggestion for improvement: I am not a technology hardware expert, but maybe the wifi equipment is due for refreshing. We all had our devices and used them in part to plot activities and driving routes, so the many times that we lost connectivity were mildly frustrating. (We simply rebooted the router and eventually got done what we needed to do.)
The owner was certainly customer friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay at this unit. Based on our experience, we would definitely stay again stay at this unit (or one of his other properties).
