Pool Clubs & Beaches:
Pool Club: Lake Naomi Pool is the largest heated lakeside pool in the state, offering a panoramic view of the Lake and its sailors. Lakeside sunning decks terrace the area between the pool and lake, perfect for relaxing after a swim. Kids will have a blast as there are multiple pools, large water slides and diving boards. There's a fully equipped snack bar (sandwiches, burgers, drinks, ice cream, etc.) and restroom/changing facilities. The other pool club is located in Timber Trails - it's considerably smaller but is plenty of fun and provides a nice change of pace for those who are looking for a change of scenery. - Lakeside Beaches: You can relax on one of seven sandy beaches surrounding Lake Naomi or play a round of sand volleyball. All Lake Naomi Aquatic facilities, including pools and beaches, are staffed by certified lifeguards.
Tennis Facilities:
Tennis: The Lake Naomi Tennis Club has 18 Soft Surface courts. There are youth and teen varsity programs, social games, women's league play and men's round robins conducted weekly. Beginner and experienced players can take part in a number of on-site clinics, workshops, and mini-camps. If you simply want to hit the ball around, there are concrete surface courts located about 5 min drive from the house.
Fishing & Boating :
Boating: Lake Naomi is one of the cleanest lakes in the Poconos. Powerboats are prohibited, and the quiet waters are perfect for canoeing, kayaking, row boating, windsurfing, and of course, sailing. Sailing lessons are offered throughout the summer. Every weekend, races and regattas decorate the lake with colorful sails. The Sailing Association plans special activities and events for sailors of every age. - Fishing: Bass, trout, pickerel, panfish, and walleye are all abundant species within our waterways (lakes, ponds, streams). The avid fisherman can take part in programs offered in artificial lures, fly-fishing, or stream studies.
Ski:
The house is located 15 minutes from Camelback, Jack Frost and 20 minutes from Big Boulder, three of the top Pocono ski areas. For those who enjoy cross-country, when the snow cover allows there are many local trails. Additionally, for those who like to snow-mobile there's a rental service about 10 minutes from the house.
Golf:
Timber Trails has a nine hole executive golf course. Private lessons and a variety of different lesson packages (including group clinics) for the beginning golfer, as well as the experienced golfer are offered. There is a golf shop stocked with an assortment of golf equipment and accessories. A variety of tournaments will be posted throughout the season at the golf shop. There are three golf leagues during the warmer months: a ladies league, men's league and a youth league. Electric golf carts are available for rent.
