Spectacular 6 year young 3 story mountain retreat. 33 'Private' acres at the end of a private road on a 'Private' glacier lake with1500' lake front minutes from many attractions,Lake George Area!This 2700+ sq ft 3 story home w/4 large bedrooms,2 full baths spread through each level.Wood floors thru-out the entire home complete w/radiant heat thru out.A large vaulted ceiling living room complete with a wall of windows to capture priceless sunsets and a gorgeous view of this fresh water lake fed by springs from the mountain.A 2nd den are perfect for the kids and give this home just the right amount of space. A large eat in kitchen fully equipped with all major appliances,laundry area and center island sit directly off a wrap around deck for perfect lake and mountain view.At the lake is a large new dock with 2 paddle boats,fire pit and great fishing and swimming.Relax,swim,fish,paddle,canoe,kayak or just float in this crystal clear 'fresh water' lake. NO MOTOR BOATS OR ATV'S ALLOWED

Location:: This Chalet is located in a town called Witehall/Hampton in upstate NY in the Adirondacks. You are less then 10 minutes to the town's Supermarket/shopping Plaza. It is also within 1/2 hour to Lake George Village, Large Outlet shopping mall & Six Flags Great Escape Theme Park and Water Park. Come and experience your own piece of Heaven!!! This is a fresh water lake and approximately 80 feet deep. The lake was stocked many years ago with different kinds of fish. We have Lake trout,Rainbow trout, Brown trout, Bass, Sunny, Perch and probably some others we haven't yet caught. It is also great and refreshing to swim. Since there are no motors of any kind allowed in the lake it is quiet a safe for swimming as well. The water is 'fresh' water so it is very clean and clear. It is very warm to swim in and is fed by warm springs. We have a beautiful beach area & a 12' X 16' dock to sit, fish or jump off of. Take a beautiful walk down to the lake or thru our hiking trails-No Motor Boats, ATVS/QUAD Allowed.

Winter: We are located 3 miles from the Vermont border.Pico,Okemo and Killington are only a 35 minute ride, through beautiful mountains with spectacular views. West Mountain,which is Exit 17 on Northway,is also about 40 minutes away and has an outrageous tubing park and night skiing for less than $20. We have a great hill for sleigh riding right at the house and hiking the trails in the snow is alot of fun too. Come and experience this piece of heaven any season of the year.Summer and Fall are great times to take the Gondola soar through the clouds over 7000 feet to Killingtons peak for lunch.The views are spectacular year round.

Nearest Motorway : NY State Thruway/ Route 87 at 35 Miles
Car: recommended

This house is located in a town called Hampton in upstate NY in the Adirondacks. It is within 1/2 hour from Lake George Village and a Large Outlet shopping mall, EXIT 20 on the NY thruway Rt87. We are also near 4 major ski areas, including Piko, Killington, Okemo and West Mountain, approximately 35 minute ride. The town of Hampton is 2 miles from the Vermont border. Upstate NY is so beautiful and there is so much to do. You can explore caves and waterfalls . There is also white water rafting through out the multiple rivers New York has to offer. We are also about a 4 1/2 hours East of Niagara Falls and the Canadian Border.

Golf: Their are several 18 hole golf courses and driving ranges in the immediate area. Within 10 or 20 minutes you can be at a 3 or 5 par 18 hole golf course.

Ski: Their are about 4 major ski areas within 30 to 40 minutes drive. Killington,piko and Okemo are about 1/2 hour away and Gore and West Mountain are about 40 minutes away.

Although we love pets we're sorry but we DO NOT allow them, regardless of age or size. We have 2 paddle boats for your use at the dock and private beach area for our home only. What a house! We have stayed here two years in a row and on our third trip. The house is absolutely beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice.SPOTLESS!!!! This house has 3 spacious floors with plenty of room for kids and adults with 2 dens. It is peaceful and beautiful in and out. The views of the lake from the house are spectacular. It is a short walk down to the lake. 33 acres of privacy with groomed hiking trails right from the house. The lake is warm and amazing to just float or paddle around. Great for kids of all ages. House has every amenity you could ask for with a fully equipped kitchen with loads of cooking pots and pans and utensils. All new appliances too...what a deal!! Also,the owner is a pleasure to deal with! Look no further this is the place to go that has it all. We will be back again next year!!!

Long Island girl was a bit off. We received our deposit back in less than 2weeks.Other homeowners will keep security much longer. The ride to Lake George was 30 miles on 55 mph roads. The house is stunning,clean and a minute from the water. Loads of amenities. We have rented this house for several years and even received a discount for returning.There has always been a property manager available for any issues that is right up the road. The property is beautiful and very private and the town is less than a ten minute ride. It's a fantastic deal for what you get. A house half the size on less than an acre rents for almost the same price on the other side of the lake. The Fall is spectacular up their as well.This house is a piece of heaven and I highly recommend this property! Go for it!

Very secluded AWAY from it ALL!!

House is farther away from Lake George area than you might want- it takes about 30 min-longer if you get behind someone slow because all roads are 2 lanes and you have to go south and around the lake, if you want to go rafting in North Creek plan about 1 hour trip to get there. The property is very pretty and overlooks a lake and VERY quite. The house is on a hill which is great going to the lake not so great going back- there is a driveway down to the lake but my van would not make it back up- air conditioning is set on 74 and you can not change it it may be too hot or too cold- microwave was broken when we arrived and owner did not tell us no long distance phone service to call owner and cell phone service not available. No local contact if something goes wrong with house. It took a reminder to the owner and 3 weeks to get the security deposit back. Check in is Sat 12 N and check out is Fri 12 N so it is actually not quite a full week.

Owner's Response: Not accurate at all. Security is returned in the time frame promised within 2 weeks. I have unlimited long distance and supply that information on the paperwork with the home phone number as well. Anyone with common sense knows that if you're in the middle of the mountains cell service is hit or miss depending on carrier. In addition we have a property manager on call who lives 5 minutes away. As far as the microwave the renter before broke it and didn't tell me, when we were informed it was replaced immediately. I've been renting my homes here for 12 years and no complaints! So people are impossible to please.

Here we go again!

I just booked my second stay at this cabin. The place is spotless, quite new, roomy but still cozy. There's pleanty of privacy. The lake is great. The water is warm, deep and very clean. It didn't take long for the kids to get fish on the hook!
The area has pleanty to do. Within 20 minutes there's a 6 flags, lazer tag, go karts, mini golf, restaurants and shopping. All this without going the extra 10 minutes into Lake George. My family loves it here and this will be the second of many vacations here. Enjoy!
