Quiet and secluded and located 'up on the hill' in the Skyline Subdivision -yet only 5 minutes from the Kenai River and Soldotna. If you enjoy seeing wildlife right outside your door, then you will be delighted with our location!!! Our two 2 bedroom 1 bath vacation rentals are located in the Skyline House and are very nicely furnished with local Alaskan artwork, and will sleep 4-6 and have a full eat in kitchen, living room with fireplace, a flat screen TV/VCR, DVD, free movies, washer/dryer, outdoor deck with gas BBQ grill. We provide you with an extensive library of books on Alaska, local hiking maps, bird guides, wildflower, mammal and animal tracking books. Our vacation rentals are near the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge which is home to over 177 bird species, 30 mammals, and 15 fish species.

We are located 'up on the hill' in the Skyline Subdivision, and yet only 5 minutes from the Kenai River and Soldotna. We cater to the adventurous and corporate traveler who wants to see Alaska on their own terms, and are less inclined to book complete hotel, condo, or tour packages. We provide you with an extensive library of books on Alaska, local hiking maps, best fishing holes, bird guides, wildflower, mammal and animal tracking books. Our vacation rentals are near the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge which is home to over 177 bird species, 30 mammals, and 15 fish species.

Additional information about rental rates

  • All rates are for double occupancy, additional persons are $15.00 per night
  • Deposits: 50% deposit required at the time of reservation to hold and confirm a furnished 2 bedroom apartment suite. Balance of payment due 30 days before arrival. All units must be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival. You will receive a computer confirmation with map and receipt with your reservation. Prices above are for payment for cash, check or money order. Charge Cards (Visa and MC) are accepted and are subject to 3% processing fee. We also accept payment via PayPal.
  • Cancellations: Refunds are given if cancellation requests are received 60 days or more prior to arrival, less a $25.00 cancellation fee. If there is a cancellation less than 60 days and more than 15 days prior to arrival, a 50% refund is given, with the balance of refund given upon re-rental of unit.

A Wonderful location, May 24, 2006 By crystals_in_alaska@yahoo.com (Montana) We really enjoyed staying at the Purdue House!!! There were moose outside the livingroom windows almost every day. This was a nice way to vacation near the Kenai River but NOT be subjected to all the noise from the motorboats on the Kenai river at 5am!! Thank you for being such great hosts! Hope to see you again next year.
