The Robert's House is located in the center of town on Center st. between Commercial and Bradford. It is just steps to the main center of town or the beach. No matter if the art gallery district or the clubs and shopping are where you want to be, either is a quick walk from your quiet, centrally located grand quarters. You can enjoy a good book or cocktail while sitting under one of the largest chestnut trees in town; which provides an umbrella like shade and is located in your grassy side yard. Or retreat to your living room with real plaster walls from the 1800's; which cuts the noise to nil. Enjoy your favorite DVD or use your WIFI Internet connection, or simply listen to a CD, all is available. You will find that every room has 9' foot ceilings and is very bright and cheerful. This Grand home was built in the 1840's and has been in our family since the turn of the century, last month we refinished the second floor; which by the way is about 1,200 sq. ft. of space.

Notes: You will find that every room has 9 foot ceilings and is very bright and cheerful. This home has been in our family since the turn of the century, and last month (June) we refinished the second floor; which by the way is about 1200 sq. ft. of space, comprised of 2 bedrooms, one walk through, with new king beds, a huge bath room, a fully equipped kitchen, living room/ dining area. We used a combination of antiques and new furnishings which makes for very pleasing surroundings. You have your own private entrance in front and the down stairs is not occupied at this time, so you will have all the privacy you want. Your apartment comes with on site parking, which is a premium in P/town and Center Street is a 2 way street, letting you avoid driving on Commercial when you want to go out!

The Grand Robert's House: Built in the 1840's, this house is a grand place to stay, it both historic and comfortable and will give you a sense of pride to be staying there.

Great Location, Quiet but close to it all.: You will be steps from Commercial st., to the left is the art gallery district and fine dining and to the right is shopping and the clubs. You are a 1/2 block to the beach, but the best part is when you walk back to the house is the peace and quiet, it is truly the best of both worlds.

The Yard and the Chestnut tree: You will find sitting in the yard, just relaxing under the shade of the chestnut tree, behind the hedge to be a great restorer of both imagination and peace. Drinks optional.

Great place to stay in a great location

I rented this place as a first-timer to P-Town, and it provided all of the comforts of home in a convenient location. Located a mere block from the center of the commercial district, the top-floor apartment was fully-furnished and provided privacy despite close proximity to shops and restaurants. The king beds were comfy, the towels were fluffy, and the kitchen (while not gourment)provided the basics for cooking meals. There's also off-the-street parking which I'm told is rare.

A few things to note: In the kitchen there's no dishwasher and a small, apartment size range/oven combo. The bedrooms are connected, which wasn't a problem for us but may be for two couples. And with windows open you do hear street traffic and pedestrians.

There's a large Stop and Shop grocery store and liquor store less than a mile away, and lots of restaurants nearby. The Lobster Pot is great for casual New England food (try the lobster roll), and we heard Front St. is great for upscale (we didn't try it).

We would defiinitely rent here again next time we're on the Cape.

Airy and quiet

My family truly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The rooms were spacious and breezy, and both bedrooms had very comfortable king-sized beds with high quality linens. The bedrooms are chained together, so you have to walk through one to access the other, but this was perfect for us as we put our daughter in the "far" bedroom. The kitchen was small but functional; the bathroom very large. Neither was up-to-date, but both were clean and reasonably well appointed. The location was very quiet, despite the fact that it was steps away from a busy section of Commercial St. The TV in the living room was tiny, but the WI-FI worked well.

Ideal Location

We just returned from a great week staying at this property.

The location is ideal -- the public library is right across the street, so you can check your e-mail. The harbor beach is a five minute walk -- we enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks without fighting any traffic. Indeed, we hardly used our car at all, which was relaxing in itself.

The house is bright with big windows and has a nice yard as well. Owner is very helpful.

True Cape Cod Experience

We chose this rental because we could bring our dog with us. However, due to the convenient location, the spacious accommodations, and having all the comforts of home we would come back with or without our dog. It felt like we were staying in an updated historical museum...a true Cape Cod experience. As the listing says, the bedrooms are "walk through". It may not be convenient for two couples vacationing together unless they are on the same sleep schedule. But, for one couple, or a family, it is GREAT!
