Centrally located between the rolling green hills of Waimea and the Kohala Coast. Some of the Big Island's most beautiful beaches are located within a 15 minute drive. This condo is located in the Hills complex on Paniolo Ave., directly across from the Village shopping center.
Close by are many of the Big Island attractions - 'A' Bay and the Waikoloa Resort area - where you can snorkel along coral reefs, walk along a mile long white sand beach, and explore two large petroglyph fields, ancient fish ponds, and Hawaiian temples.
At the Waikoloa Resorts you can also take a daytime or sunset sailing cruise, a whale-watching expedition. The resorts also offer fine dining and great shopping. Swimming with the dolphins and helicopter rides are also close by.
Waimea, an old cattle ranching town, with many fine restaurants and shopping is just 15 minutes away. The old sugar plantation towns of Hawi, Kapaa and Honokaa, and the oceanside cliffs and valleys of Pololu and Waipio are easy drives from the village.
The Waikoloa Village Shopping Center is conveniently located just across the street, where you'll find a modern food market with bakery and deli departments, banking, a pharmacy, beauty salon, and other shops.
This 1100 sq. ft. ground floor condo (no stairs) sleeps 4, with a TV and king size bed in the master bedroom, and a queen bed in the second bedroom.
There is a new large capacity washer and dryer in the unit. It is completely furnished with cooking utensils, dishes, towels, linens, etc. We've even provided an ice chest, sand chairs, and beach mats for your picnic! There are 2 cable TV's and a DVD player. A video rental store is across the street. Cooled with ceiling fans in the summer and warmed by a fireplace in the winter, this is your 'Hale Sweet Hale' on the Big Island.
Two lanais across the back with a table and 4 chairs give you privacy and a place to enjoy meals while outdoors.
Guests receive discounted golf at the adjacent golf course and have access to the solar heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, and barbeque area on the grounds of the complex. Tennis courts are available to guests at no extra cost.
My husband and I left California and retired in Arizona, so Hawaii is the perfect place for us to have a second home to enjoy. Our kids and grandkids also love visiting Hawaii. In fact, our daughter Tricia Soliz and her husband are active investors and purchased part of this property so that we now co-own it with them.

There is something magical about Hawaii and the images it brings just thinking about it. We have been to the other islands and decided on the Big Island because of its diversity and beautiful beaches. The Volcano National Park is unique; there is nothing like it on the other Hawaiian islands.
We like the convenience of a condo because we can enjoy the amenities it has to offer without concerning ourselves about maintaining a swimming pool or yard. With our dedicated parking spot there are no parking fees or having to drive around looking for a spot to park. Our location in Waikoloa Village offers the convenience of a wonderful grocery store that is within walking distance. The elevation at 1,000 feet is cooler; yet the best beaches are only 6-8 miles away. We also like not having to deal with the traffic that can be a problem in Kona.
We have returned safely from our wonderful Hawaiian vacation. Your condo was so lovely and had all the comforts of home. It's nice having a kitchen to cook meals so that we didn't have to eat out every day, and the grocery store was an easy walk from the condo. It was a nice environment for my 4 year old son to play, do puzzles or watch DVDs. We enjoyed breakfasts on the patio, and watched the wild turkeys pass by the backyard. We took daily walks around the condo grounds looking for turkeys and the 2 local cats that he affectionately called 'Kitty' and 'Catty!' The beaches were a short driving distance away and we visited those daily. My husband's triathlon didn't go so well, too much time in the sun and ocean days prior to the event. (At least we had fun doing it). He's not used to competing in the heat and humidity. But he's planning on trying again next year! We enjoyed our stay so much that we'd love to return next year either in April or June again, and for a longer period of time (10-14 days maybe). Hopefully you'll have openings at the condo. Again, we appreciated your hospitality!
