My family and I loved this home and vacation. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bedrooms were big, and the beds were super-comfortable. The livingroom was also big and comfortable, and the bathrooms were very clean. It was lovely to sit at the kitchen table and be able to look out over the water. Also, waking up and having breakfast on the deck, soaking up the sunshine and watching the tide go in or out-that was great. This house was immaculate. The yard is big. My 2 year old son had fun running around it. Our nightly ritual was playing pool in the basement. The jacuzzi was a definite bonus. The home was in a great location for us. We visited Acadia and Bar Harbor a few times. On the way home from Bar Harbor we picked up seafood from Lunts Lobster Pound, which was very tasty! We also took a day trip to Canada and visited Bangor among other local places in the area. The property seems to be secluded, away from it all. Yet, jump in the car and a few miles down the road you've got a couple of grocery stores, I believe there is a McDonald's, Friendly's and a Wal-Mart, just to name a few. I highly recommend this property. The owners really did think of everything. Everything I seemed to have needed could be found in the house. All you need to bring is your clothes and a few groceries and you're good for the week. Anyone that wants a quiet, private spot to spend time with family or friends, this is your home. I honestly did not want to leave. I definitely want to stay here again. Next time I'll bring a canoe or kayak. I really wish I had one while I was there.
